just on a general note, I don't think i've ever had a serious vote on me as scum on day 1. This could be, in the future, taken as "har-de-har, what a lame defence for being scummy." But in 7 scum games and about 20 town games, this has been the case. I've regularly come under pressure and received votes day 1 as town, many times in fact, and never as scum.

For the love of god, leave me until day 3 when i'm not catching scum or being productive. My day 1 reads are terrible and most of the time I'm just prodding to try to find out what's going on.

funny you should mention that. I don't know if you read the obsQT at all, but bugs said that as town you would never have lynched me so easily without giving me a chance day 1 if you were town.

of course not!!! my only real policy is "don't lynch potentials early"... even d2.
Of course its demotivating for scum, if they lose one good player, but usually good players get caught easily later on.
The chance you catch someone who just is ill or something else is extremely high :D

I disagree with the fact that we shouldn't lynch vets D1. It gives them too much liberty to troll a la Palmar this game or to not contribute at all as scum a la Foolishness. We should be able to pressure them for real, even in D1, so they must know that they are risking to be lynched, not that half the thread is going to say, "Don't lynch Palmar D1 !" or "Don't lynch Foolish D1 you fool !".
At the same time, the BC lynch this game was terrible, but I think it's good for the vets to know that they are not safe at D1.
