This would give him a good excuse not to be on BH. If he "steals" his own vote and puts it on Gonzaw he is immune from voting responsibility. Especially given he made it clear he would not voluntarily vote for Gonzaw. A BH red flip would have helped in that regard.
Is that what you are thinking Chez?

and in a game with 9 mafia and 18 town and extended majority lynch, it wouldn't be that unreasonable

Well he would have to have that power because he never physically voted for Gonzaw. I am trying to think of the motivations from a scum point of view. I have no doubt it would be a scum role because hiding people's intentions, or rather completely subverting them are not beneficial to town.
If Matt is a townie and had this happen to him, then scum gain by removing a free floating vote from BH. But he also was adamant he wouldn't vote for BH. So there wasn't really any risk of that. What does mafia gain from doing this to him?

There is a fairly extensive list of people responsible for this debacle and it starts with people who started the gonzaw wagon when austin and BH were already well established. Also under scruitiny should be anyone who voted for one of the non main targets. They essentially threw their vote away which does not help us at all.

Night 1
Each in their own respective countries, Kurumi and RebirthofLegend snarled at each over via skype. Kurumi looked a little green, and had just crawled out from underneath a bridge, carrying a club and grunting heavily. He scratched his nose and muttered something about invading Iraq. Meanwhile, RebirthofLegend was showcasing his name and ancestry by donning cataphract armor, as he was the second Alexander. He grumbled, "I really thought I was scum after I read my role pm..." With the nukes reentering the atmosphere, each gave a final battle cry.
"For America!" Kurumi cried. "For Alexander!" RebirthofLegend roared, riding a horse and carrying a lance. He skewered the computer relaying the video feed with one clean thrust. Then, he rode on to meet his glorious end.
Lance met Nuclear missile.

Back in America, Kurumi looked up at the sky and said his prayers. Like any true bureaucrat, he remembered to cover his butt at the last moment. After waiting several minutes, Kurumi got a harsh poke. A tiny rocket had rammed into his pocket. The nuke was a dud.

RebirthofLegend, Macedonia has been nuked.
Macedonia!
You are a Macedonian immigrant. The blood of Alexander the Great runs through your veins. Unfortunately, you are a bit...lacking in greatness, so you decided to move to America in order to establish an empire. As those pesky bureaucrats shouted you into submission, you are a bitter cogwheel in the American corporate machine. But it is time to show off your greatness! Once per game, you can launch a nuclear missile in the name of the kingdom of Macedonia (or Greece, if you prefer). Of course, Macedonia doesn't have nukes, so its a dud. On the bright side, you might at least have a shot at getting people to listen to you then. You win with the town.
Meanwhile, after along day of bickering, the bureaucrats decided that it was better to cover their butts rather than actually lynch anyone. Back to the drawing board!
It is now Night 1. The night phase is shortened to get us on a more euro-friendly deadline schedule. Actions are due at 7PM CST (17 hours from now).
Also as a note, there were 62 unvotes in Day 1, which is a headache for us to keep track of. Switching votes 5 times within 5 minutes is not acceptable. Please try to consolidate.
