Which I have no problem with. 3) In most normal games, night actions happen simultaneously. In games where you are town, you have no inhibitions, and generally push your suspicions forcefully and vocally without regard to what other people are saying. In this game, you were much more diplomatic, cautious, and were slow to commit to your opinions. Your posts never really felt like they were leading anywhere, and this post especially struck me as uncharacteristic of your play. You push Palmar earlier, but not that forcefully, and you certainly don't follow up strongly on it either. I feel like mason was an easy second power to pick for Jack after you have used your dayvig (I would probably have used mason first and dayvig later after discussing with someone like Radfield). Medic/Veteran are pretty much gambles unless you are privy to some information, but mason can always help you out. The reason for parity cop instead of normal cop was simply that parity is weaker than normal cop. Note that this game did not have any DT-tampering roles. Given that I wanted town to be less dependent on blue roles than usual but still have some sort of investigative power, I went for parity cop. Confusion arising from multiple jacks shouldn't really be an issue, since as stated earlier, comparison of roles shouldn't really happen and thus isn't a factor in balance. You should generally never claim medic. Most games have a mafia roleblocker, so claiming medic basically means that your power is more or less useless for the rest of the game. You always have to worry about being a target and town can't depend on your protections. And if the problem is that you were up for lynch (which wasn't the issue this game), chances are, you messed up somewhere earlier in the game. One circumstance in which it is ok to claim is if you have made a successful save on someone (who you feel to be town) who is up for lynch for whatever reason. In this case, claiming that you blocked a hit on the person could save the town from going down a dangerous path, and could be worth the risk of being roleblocked for the rest of the game. | ||

It's how I caught you in Resurrection and Cosmic. In LoTR after like an hour of tunneling you reacted in such an aggressive manner that I figured you were town. | ||

To be blunt, there is an extreme amount of hate and negative attitude in the post-game discussion. And I don't even need to point fingers because there are multiple people doing it. So if you're reading this and wondering if I'm talking about you, yes I am. The kinds of phrases that I read in the past few pages are not something that is or ever will be acceptable on TL Mafia. If saying something is grounds for warning/modkill in a game, that does not mean it is acceptable to start saying it once the game is over. Post-game discussion is the best place for players to reflect upon their play and realize where improvement is needed. When hateful comments are thrown around, it not only is it offensive to the person in question, but it is also disrespectful to those players who are taking the discussion seriously and trying to improve (especially since there were a handful of newer players in this game as well). There's no justification for the things I have read. Clean up your attitude. | ||

Sure, things get heated and a little out of hand that game, but people cool down. It's like in sports or whatever, if you really care about what you're doing, you're going to get angry. The main thing is that people can then let it go and play again, which most of us have no problem with. I dislike people throwing demeaning comments against a community like that. | ||
