- Many of the usual suspects in speaking out early and setting the tone (e.g. sandroba, GMarshal) are not playing so people need to step up a bit more than usual. - Blues look much less useful than usual. Both strains of detective can only detect certain scum, medics are either silencers or can't repeat saves, veterans don't even know they are veterans so they can't try to draw scum fire, watchers have a really small chance of getting any information until at least day 3. Not only this several traits which would normally could be considered blue roles are now possible Mafia roles. We need to win this through analysis. - If there are any rivals in play, please delay your tunnelling until a bit later in the game. We don't want early lynches being concentrated on someone who only helps one person win the game, we need them to be Mafia. Worry about your evil twin later on.

I present to you: THE PLAN!!! CLAIMING Traits are not alignment based so anyone with the following traits should openly claim immediately: - Rivals should claim once Day 1 has started. Rivals are much more likely to be townies than Mafia. Mafia already have their rivals: the town. Not only this, it puts into perspective your motivations in getting specific people killed. If you prove yourself useful and don't fuck things up you will be assisted where possible in achieving your goals. - Short Fuse should claim and never use their power of modkill. If you fail or succeed, deliberately goading people will shit up the thread to no end. Also it makes us seriously consider the lynching of a Short Fuse, the potential of having a VisceraEyes/BC event needs to be known beforehand. - Rabid Fanboy #1. You are essentially a mayor. Do not use this power without first putting it out in the open. We get a replacement if you die anyway so you are not as important as other roles, no need to hide. - Thief. The rapidly increasing chances of being instalynched as roles are stolen means that scum theives would be unlikely to risk stealing a role a second time, 1for1 trades are not good for Mafia. Claim outright so we can work out when and if you use your role. Additionally, all players should claim their roles, traits and alignments to me via PM asap :D VOTING Multiple lynches should be avoided on the first few days. We can save them until later when we have more information. Especially with the Night 0 start where people will probably die before we can get a lynch off, we can't just start offing large numbers of people straight away if we mislynch we get fucked much quicker. CELLS Are stupid. From what I have read in past games everyone ignores them and chooses to PM whoever they please. I am in favour of communicating with who you want and whoever wants to talk to you, forcing people into an arbitrarily formed cell doesn't make sense when the formation of such groups can easily be biased. Discuss!

"oh i was just trying to get that townie lynched because i was his rival sorry guiz" If the rivals claim asap, then this defence is not available. We get rivals, if they exist, to claim now. Then we ignore them until later in the game and decide who we want to win amongst them. Townies are not going to team up with mafia to get their rival killed because they still lose if town loses. They will have to play a town game anyeay and the more they do the more likely we will help them with their individual win condition.

It is less likely for Mafiosos to be paired with Townies as rivals. Mafia and Townies are already opposed. Mafia are not going to be paired with themselves either, its hard enough being a mafioso as it is without completely disrupting the team. I would be very confident that any rivals are Town/Town. If we do get a Townie/Mafioso rival pairing, the townie should claim now. If the Mafioso denies the pairing, they will be killed for lying as soon as the townie flips. If he ignores the claim, he will be offed as well. He has to confirm the claim or he is dead. The mafioso in the pair can't win unless that person dies, so he can't just bring them to endgame. He's under pressure to stay hidden but he absolutely has to take out his rival as well. Pressure on scum is a good thing How do you feel about the other claims I suggested?

On August 17 2011 15:06 GreYMisT wrote: It seems as though there are some misconceptions about my "scumslip" Navillus pretty much summed it up for me, though I would like to add more. At the time of nishani's scumslip, I was responding to what i believed to be an attack on me from TAA. I was not defending nishani rather defending myself from the following post: I provided my reasoning that mafia had no kp's on day0 due to both the blue post I quoted later on and the fact that it was called day0, which was an erroneous assumption to make. I hope that clears the waters a bit for you guys. I stand firm in my vote for Dropbear as he went afk after presenting a plan that required us to all roleclaim to him privately. Lol you do realise that you agreed with every word? Almost directly afterward? On August 15 2011 06:01 GreYMisT wrote: I also agree with Claiming the above Traits. Claiming Rabid fanboy is a good call too. i didn't think about that. The only problem with that is that the second in command might be a member of the Mafia, and we will have just given them additional power. Im not sure exactly into who's hands that would play out though. I also agree with your plan on Voting and cells. the last thing we need in this game is multitown kills and dissenting factions within the town. The plan was an absolute pile of horseshit. How do we even know these roles are in the game? It was an idiocy I concocted to get reactions. Reactions like yours I basically said, people with powerful roles should open claim and people should limit their out of thread communication. Agreeing with it word for word is either newbie or Mafia. You did this, as did slam500 and Varpulis. The bandwagoning from you has been pretty fast. Onto Nisani despite defending him, then onto me because I "advocated claiming to me"and because JeeJee and Nisani brought me up first. Everyone else worked out that was a joke pretty fast. It even had a smiley face next to it! I'm not quite ready to vote for you because our brief PM convo early in the game showed a lot of sense and this is your first TL game but you need to step it up dude. The "scum slip" that everyone is banging on about doesn't interest me at all and is inconsequential. What DOES worry me is that you agreed with the plan with no reservations and your quick bandwagoning. You've been the third or fourth person on a train each time so far which is the scummiest time to get on board. My post about everyone claiming to me was a joke in a post that was a joke. What other reasons do you have to kill me?

I am not remotely interested in lynching him. He's playing his first game ever. It's PM which is trickier, plus this is a more complex setup than normal games. The "dodginess" that Varpuli pointed out basically amounted to him saying "I don't want to stand out cos I might die". That is pretty normal for a new player to say. He does need to be more active but a lynch on him at this point is not what I'd do. slam500 I do want to hear from you though. What are your feelings on Forumite and Greymist?

He has done the following things thus far: - Agree with a deliberately shit plan no questions asked. An experienced player should know better. - Start the slam500 bandwagon and back off immediately when questioned by TAA. The case is pretty weak in the first place. A new player being afraid to provide an opinion? - Accuse other experienced players of lurking and not contributing anything himself. Nearly half his posts since the game has started have been "other people aren't talking enough". His own posts, besides the one exception of the slam bandwagon, have been regurgitating what others have said already. - Sidetrack things concerning Kurumi's out of thread activities - Advocate lynching Forumite to "confirm" Nisani. Nisani has only shown that Forumite is not a power role, it doesn't tell him if he's Mafia or not. It would confirm NOTHING lynching Forumite except Forumite's alignment. If you don't think he's Mafia then it's a complete waste. - This. Oh dear god, don't use an ability to help town win! That would be awful! - The case against greymist On August 17 2011 10:01 Varpulis wrote: I do like the case against DropBear though. His posts are almost 100% devoted to his claiming plan and discussing mechanics, and his only post regarding who he wants to lynch/who he thinks is scum is no explanation, nothing. This is exactly the kind of semi-abstain vote i was talking about in the beginning of the game. I think i missed this post before, didn't realize he had voted at the same time. On August 17 2011 11:08 Varpulis wrote: does not compute. Blatant contradiction between his actions and his vote. His rapid switch to dropbear confuses me greatly. ##vote greymist You liked the case on me before, why not anymore now that he does it? This isn't the townie Varpulis I know. Townie Varpuli has common sense and gets involved. He's got to go. Greymist would be my second choice at the moment.

Greymist's vote switch to me: 9:53 Varpulis posting that he likes my lynch: 10:01 Claim that Greymist's switch to me is suspicious: 11:08 His post saying he'd like to lynch me comes AFTER greymist switched his vote to me. Then he comes out and says it's a rapid switch?

I called you out to see if you would respond to everyone accusing you of lurking. That being said i dont like proposing a fake plan, i think it creates a negative atmosphere that the town doesn't need in a game where we are the uninformed minority. That is why i have voted for you. I think we need to take a closer look at forumite, he was looking pretty bad early on but the bandwagon against me formed so fast that little more was thought about it. and i do believe we have like 6 minutes remaining in the vote. Hopefully a few people can read this before then. You didn't know it was a fake plan until just now. How can you have voted for me for making a fake plan when you didn't know it was a fake plan? If you're town, sorry dude but............

DropBear successfully destroyed town on day 1. Gj man. To bad you weren't scum Yeah sorry about that. I did a deliberate slip to you in the PM convo, when I said "I have a really good feeling about you." I assumed you picked up on it and would be someone who might have had me killed. If only I hadn't sent that pm to nisani -_- The problem ended up being unrelated. I had a four man scum list and it consisted entirely of Da-Muffinman's team lol. So they shot me. Also I had a great deal of fun playing this while I was alive. Thanks to ciryandor, would definitely play one of your games again. Hopefully we get more people next time!
