you just gotta type /sitout a game to get it removed.
you actually have to designate a game that your sitting out.

And if we don't do things this way, some people are never punished for getting modkilled because they only play when they're on vacation. The system is designed to keep people out of games they would otherwise play in.
If you can think of a better way to do things, please share. Otherwise please stop complaining about the system. It's really getting old.

I re-read the Mafia Ban List thread, apparently like you said, once you are banned, you have to sit out to get it removed and if not playing for 8 games and for a year doesn't count and I have to sit out for this game just to play the game after this of which god knows who knows what and when that may be, I'll most likely lost all to most of my interest and move on with my life again even with advertisement in regular forums that came me to notice this current mafia game. So yea... if this is really how the system works and it must be done as such, then I guess it's game over for me then! ^_^

I told you a better way to do things you pretty much blew me off.
i went over this already but here you go again.
Anyone modkilled is put on a list each time they get modkilled. and a small description of why they had been modkilled next to it. for example.
Player name Reason
Coagulation - inactivity
Coagulation - Disruptive behavior
Each time they are modkilled they will have a new report put in the list.
then it is up to the HOST accepting sign ups to go over the ban list and review the people that are banned and make a decision based on that information. Bans should be considered based on the circumstances and individual instances. this cookie cutter system doesnt work.
And the bottom line is its up to the host if they want to have a specific player in their game.
not anyone else and not a list.

Please don't turn this into the old ban list debate. We have a system, it works, so we follow it. End of Debate, we've argued both sides of this to death.
(The alternative is we implement GM's wonky banlist but that requires tabulating the phases of the moon along with the current winners of the GSL and using it all to generate a matrix that figures out bans for us. [according to my last test with it BM is made a mod of the TL Mafia forums and Ace is permabanned if boxer loses in the TSL])

He's basically threatening us and blaming us for his disinterest in playing mafia which I call bullshit on. If you really wanted to play you wouldn't have been modkilled and then left the subforum. If you actually wanted to play again you'd be willing to sit out a game. Even BM asked nicely and was willing to semi follow the strict rules placed on him when he came back. Don't come into a sign up and be like well, guess I ain't playing cause of you guys and your (implied) stupid rules. But if you disregard the rules for me, I'll play =P. Yeah no kthanksbye. I wouldn't say threatening and blaming you guys. My response was directly toward Qatol since I know of his history of rules and how he acts. And I guess my play of words gotten too far with some people for taking shit way too seriously.
So tell me then, if you were me and you were told by Qatol by a slap in the face that if I want to play this game again, I gotta wait another couple of months, would you really actually wait a couple of months? Time is money and not everyone have same feelings, thoughts and opinions so you might say yes but for me, that's fucking BS. What kind of sane person would wait a couple of months just to play a mafia game on TL unless he's really REALLY that passionate about TL Mafia? you should respect him for that.
Also its not Qatol that put you on the list. its the host that modkilled you from the game. so if you have a problem you should probably take it up with him.
also if you want you can contest your ban in the ban thread and see if you can have it overturned by a vote if you really dont think you can sit out a game for 2 weeks.

It's not even a couple of months per game anymore, it's like a week, week and a half max. I suggest you sit out a mini game since they end quicker. The rules are rules, I was modkilled for inactivity due to circumstances that I did not have direct control over. Did I like missing out Ace's Pick Your Own Power 3? No. Did I think it was uncalled for to put me on the ban list? Sort of. Did I think it was needed? Yes. My inactivity makes it harder for my team to win, it takes up a spot that someone else wanting to play actively might have taken, and most importantly it shows disrespect to the host of the game. Although it was something uncontrollable that caused the inactivity, the ban was deserved. That's just me though; you can go talk it over with BrownBear and see what he has to say.

Qatol did not say you had to wait a couple of months he said you had to wait out one game. Frankly I love tl mafia so if I got myself (through my own actions and with no excuse) banned for say 18 games then I would follow the rules and wait out my bans. The system exists because it works. Also its not because "Qatol says so" its because all hosts agree to follow the banlist, its how we keep poor players from ruining games, through for example going inactive and not coming back for 8 months. Please stop making this some kind of attack on you.
Frankly this isn't the place to discuss it either, if you want to argue about your ban take it to the ban thread or ask the mod to not follow the ban list. I'll just point out that you make a poor first impression with me. Qatol makes this forum work and he deserves more respect then that passive aggressive bs. Either take your ban and smile (or grit your teeth, its indifferent to me) or leave, but dont linger and stir shit in here.
