I'm pretty sure we skipped over another number a while ago as well....someone should find out which number and host it.

Not sure if this is the place to post it but I recall reading a post by someone about a point system and I've been thinking about it. Wouldn't it be good to have a point/rank system based on your win/loss? I mean only balanced games should follow this obviously but it can follow something like an iccup ranking system or something less strict (considering it takes weeks to play a single game).

With the influx of new players Ace went ahead and hosted an invitational so he could host a game with experienced players right? With a point/rank system you could just put the requirements to join the game in the OP. For actual points given, there could be criteria such as lurking = negative points (unless you're mafia), obvious MVP = extra points, losing would give you points as well for participation but very few compared to a win.

Also you could make it so that if it's your first time hosting your game has to be open to all, then as you host more your point/rank restriction could go up.

I know there are cons but I'm just throwing it out there.

I honestly think this is a terrible idea. First of all, this is a team game. Unless you play a huge sample set, your win/loss rate won't necessarily reflect your skill level. Furthermore, it just breeds even more elitism, which is unneeded. Just follow the games a little. You can tell pretty quickly who is good and who is not.

Fair enough.
I just don't know who's good and who's not. I haven't been here since around TL Mafia XXX and I just played 2 games where I had no clue how good/bad 90% of the players were.

I assumed RoL was pro but he ended up playing like a complete jackass, in which case I would have played differently regarding his posts. That's just one example but you get the picture

Well hopefully you just learned a valuable lesson. Don't assume someone is an incredible player because they have been around a long time. If you are worrying about that kind of stuff, do your research on their past games and make up your own mind.
