Hey LSB, why did your initial mayoral candidacy not include the method by which you would kill the first person? For everyone else that was the first thing they included, but you made a whole separate post about it about 10 minutes later, and only after you had been told that you had left it out.

I've got to go on CSL admin duty for a few hours, so I might not be as available. I threw my vote down for zeks because of his policy for a democratic open vote, and then stepping down since the MoM does not actually have the same level of influence or powers as mayors in other games.

It doesn't matter on how the person puts out his ideas. They're all exactly the same. The mayor gets to choose who to lynch but they're saying that they're going to listen to us so we just vote who to get lynched like every other day we do. The MoM is not special job since he doesn't have control over nothing except the first lynch. But who ever the MoM lynches is going to have to explain or we will just lynch the MoM. Simple as that.

Meapak's summary of MoM candidates is not very accurate. It's more like
-LSB advocates private votes for lynch. There may be advantages or disadvantages, which town can discuss
-A few others advocate public (normal) votes for lynch. This completely trivializes the MoM position.
-A few others are trying to pressure or disrupt by making their platform a specific lynch.
I like what LSB is doing. I don't see how his option is necessarily worse than the other options, and it has the added benefit of generating day 1 discussion.
On the other hand, if we vote for 'someone who will listen to the town', we might as well forget there even is a MoM. Just RNG a mayor, vote as normal for a lynch, lynch the mayor day 2 if he fails to comply.
RoL's tactic would look better to me if he would provide some justification. RoL, you need to be able to convince town that there is something to your hunches.

If there is a VI it might be RoL because he's been acting extremely odd so far. We're talking about an actual lynch here. Sure, if you're putting the FoS on someone, that can be based on gut feelings. But an entire lynch?
There's a much larger proportion of mafia and 10+ alternate win conditions this game. If we don't lynch the right target, it just lowers our chances hugely dramatically. I'm not going to let some most likely scum to be able to lynch off anyone then just claim that he voted based on a gut feeling.

Listen man, imagine if we all lived in crazy democratic states. The whole process of killing people would become just a huge middle man thing. Go with the "safe" choice which most of the "town" approves of and maybe they won't kill you the next day. The problem is the mafia manipulates the public opinion so heavily that if you go with that lynch chances are it is a townie on day 1. When I say I will kill whoever I want its because an individual is less likely to make a bad decision then a large group. A small group makes the best decisions but honestly if you want me to take 31 opinions into account and do some retarded vote we are asking for failure.

also you don't get it. A decent mafia team will manipulate the masses opinion against each other, while the town is shrouded in doubt the mafia knows what they want to do and don't hesitate to do it. By not acknowledging the mafia's pull with town you are basically saying that whatever the majorities opinion is is correct, which is stupid. Just because most people want something to be done doesn't mean its the right thing to do. The more people you involve in a decision the more likely you are to fuck it up. To use a real world example to show you how the majority doesn't do what is right you need to only look at gay marriage rights in the united states. When left to a majority vote in California it failed, because the majority of people are stupid and their opinions shouldn't be taken into account.
You shouldn't say what does the majority want, you should what is right, and by voting me you can accomplish that.
