What is the Prism?

The Prism... is a space locked in the mind where thoughts are trapped. The wavelengths of which are caught. By which are left and which leave is determined by a pseudobattle.

Let us enter into this Prism which frozen structure captures that which must'nt leave.

We Liquidians must flow through this Prism.

As we flow... not all of us will wave our way through... we must depart from those who wave no more... With the last wave, we say our well leaves.

Three. Yes three. Shall enter.

But Two. Yes Two. Shall wave further past The Prism.

Come and join waves of liquids as we make Liquidia Liquid again. Through The Prism our waves shall pass in the past to refresh the desert of our land to make known the liquids in Liquidia.

We are not merely liquid waves. We are liquids rays of light! There are many of us in this community that move as different rates and heights. For simplicity, we shall categorize us into 3 categories.

Red. You are Red. In other worlds, you are known as the enemy. In Caller's the friendly communist. Mafia? Is red truly scum? Or is that just the connotation induced by societal pressures? As the US dominated the communist regime who celebrated their red! Anything Communist is bad. Red is communist, it is bad. Every game we play red is bad... Unless you fight on the planet's side where the Terran Republic reigns glorious for over a thousand years...

Green. You are Green. In other worlds, you are known as a plain. Yeah, you are not special. Vanilla? Is green truly no flavor? Or is that just the connotation induced by a forum limited by three colors? In the US, you are an ally. You are the Rich. Inexperience perhaps, but you can easily see the diversity amongst the green. Our cones tell us so.. unless you lack the cones or the interpretation there of.

Blue. You are Blue. In other worlds, you are powerfully special. Ability? Is blue truly more capable? Or is that just the connotation induced by the ill-informed players that see only their role by the host and not the role within them? In the US, You are what hold our stars in place. You are Sad. You are music. You are the most chosen of favorite. The Calm. From the jelly, you are Blue Hue Hue Spoiled!

But come on... we know Liquidia is not so simple. The units my be simple, but the mechanics of interactions induce complexity by the simplest of means. In thus new colors emerge... To understand... You must play the game. You must wave through The Prism to understand those of mix primary light colors.

Rules:

Your objective will be sent to you along with your role pm. You are to complete your objective. Photons (town) can vote to turn one photon into dark matter during each light period (day). The color of the photon will be revealed upon death. The leading photon (godfather) will be revealed if he dies. During Darkness (night), each prime color team can choose to turn one photon into dark matter. The game ends when one of the prime color teams all turn into dark matter.

Blue:
leading photon (1/1)
regular photon (?/?)
collider photon (?/?)

Colorless: Your wavelengths are not visible! You have no objectives in the game, except to survive. You can remain colorless or get filtered and become a visible color. If you get filtered, you can only win if your new color wins.

Teams created by filter:
Yellow - want red and green to win.
Cyan - want blue and green to win.
Magenta -want blue and red to win.
White – winner! You are at peace!

Roles/abilities:

Leading Photon abilities:
Hitlist, refractive covering, and filter.

Refractive Covering: can be used in the darkness to block filtering attempts and disguises photon as desired color. (yes there is a mysterious role that has rolechecks).

Filter: Can convert a photon to your color. It will have a limited amount of uses. Filter can not be used on leading photon or some mysterious roles. If you use filter on such role then you will be turned into dark matter! Use it wisely! Also, the target will not receive a list of you or your allies.

Collider Photon: Can collide yourself into another photon causing both you and the target to become dark matter.

Rolecheck: can be used in darkness to identify someone's color.

Of course, there will be secret roles.


As of now,there will be light for 48 hours and Darkness for 24 hours. Everything is subject to change. I don't want to write out everything without knowing how many people are going to play. I am hoping to start this game next week along with the other mafia games.

Cheating:
1. Posting after death. One polite goodbye post is acceptable but please do not post anything which could POSSIBLY affect the game.
2. Betraying your role and ruining the game for everyone by doing something like hand out your prime color team's member list to the other photons without the consent of your team unless your team is afk and it is for the best.
3. Logging on to someone else's account / checking their PMs / looking over someone's shoulder to get their role.
4. Comparing role PM times to determine roles.
5. Posting screenshots of your inbox. This is not a photoshop competition.
6. Posting any PM you receive from a host.


Voting rules:
1. You must post your vote in the Vote Thread (which will be in a separate thread in the mafia forum). Do not PM or IM it to me.
2. You must clearly declare and bold your vote in this format ie: "I vote to lynch redtooth".
3. You can not autochange your vote to the losing or winning bandwagon.
4. You cannot vote for yourself or anyone dead or outside the game.
5. In the event of a tie the person with the most votes first wins over the other person.
6. You may abstain, but must let me know: ie: "I abstain from voting".
7. Voting is mandatory. You must vote or abstain.
