Who the Korean casters are won't really matter, it's all Korean to me. It's a Tuesday broadcast, so it'll be SPOTV's shitty English cast.

Zileas had some outlandishly bullshit reason why they didn't want to do more bans or interwoven bans in 2013, so glad to see Riot is pulling its ass out of its head finally. In general with how poorly dynamic Q performed and some of the public backlash and internal shuffling (overhauling esports team, Lyte donezo), Riot has been much more receptive to incremental improvements and trying things that have worked from other games. Maybe this year we'll finally have a worlds without a garbage format that leads to Gama Bears directly seeded into the bracket or H2K vs ANX. Also relevant to the series that just played, RIP Longzhu hype lasted all of 1 game this season once again.

Week 5, they play Longzhu and Samsung. Week 6 they play KT. Their biggest advantage is they probably have the coaching to have great practice even without having to play a strong team on stage, so they only have free standings points to gain playing bottom table teams. Most people pre-ranked SKT/KT/Afreeca/Longzhu in the top 5 and SKT dodges all of them in their opening matches. Given that the playoffs are probably going to be gauntlet again, this gives them a huge advantage. And the top seeds could be separated by just a few points this split.

think they really underestimated the strength of the other MVP players. camille got pushed around g2 especially with those rengo ganks but MVP's other players did a good job of holding out in their other lanes and camille eventually got her 2 items -> time to just dick on everyone

There's no reason for her to have the sustain against minions when she already has a shield on passive for trading against champions. Invuln frame should really just be like aatrox Q, just uninterruptable. CC applies after channel finishes. I mean yeah, you can eventually nerf her numbers to a point where she's unplayable, but then she's now a useless champ instead of one with clear weaknesses and strengths. Take out the utility in a bloated kit, and then maybe you can balance the numbers more readily.

KT though, I don't even know what to say. Pawn giveth and taketh so many times this series. Also looks like Deft is on tilt in this last game hue. Edit: ok, the MVP potential is def there. For the "middle pack" teams, I did not expect MVP > Afreeca and Longzhu.

I think people are just sleeping on MVP because they don't have the big name of the top 3, ROX, or Afreeca's reputation as the SKT killer. Since starting 1-3 through week 3, they've gone 8-2 in weeks 4-8. KT's coaching staff will have a lot of work to do over midseason, the roster just doesn't know how it's supposed to work yet.

Dorans is just so much better for like the entire early/mid game.

They would have steamrolled game 3 if he didn't get picked before teamfights over and over.

KT's problem is they need someone to do what pawn is doing, but not on Orianna. pawn's always been the 'sacrificial feeder' on EDG as well there were several games where pawn's score looked like straight inting while his team took advantages everywhere else on the map i didnt watch that particular series but i wouldn't be surprised if it was just like his EDG days. just that no one really watched LPL much. kt's been pretty disappointing lately tho :/ on the bright side score has been cementing himself as undisputable best jg in the world this season (which he was last season too but not to the vast majority of the public)

+ Show Spoiler + 4:06 The first real fight, blitz has a slight minion advantage. This should never happen. Still a 1-for-1 with Blitz's team using a TP. 7:04 Red Botlane has been pushed in for the last 2 minutes. Appears to be for the foreseeable future. 7:50 Blue Takes Infernal uncontested because red is unable to contest botlane. 9:20 Blitz saves an ambush for red. 10:20 Toplane MVP clowns without Blitz. (This is the biggest swing yet in the game). 14:00 MVP Team is wiped. 19:30 MVP wins a jungle fight bigly. 21:20 Nice Blitz Pull After Arrow to get a pick. 30:00 Lost fight. Good idea. Inhib lost. 33:20 Blitz pull. Ends with a 2v2. 35:40 Red loses Teamfight .

It's interesting to see where the teams stand, both have not looked in top form tbh. To be fair, there is only one team in the world that looks better than both. Looking at score vs haru especially.

It was so tragic to see that ssg taking midlane turret imo almost wasn't worth it due to missed cs/exp and 2nd tier turret health

he's only dueling people not really going for the big aoe damage kt's team are all squishy so in fights you don't even need the hurricane, you just win with your frontline outtanking. just need to survive the small duels vs divers

But KT misjudged the fight where they landed arrow onto Lee See and clumped for a giant fish by Fizz which resulted in a massive counter. Really good game from both sides barring some misplays.

Edit: I like how SKT's formula hasn't changed these past few years. Game 1: Close. Game 2: Try again. Game 3: LUL Nope.

I slept after 2 games but felt it was mostly SKT makes small mistake -> KT gets small gain, KT makes small mistake -> SKT makes big gain. KT is not as good at punishing as SKT is and SKT picked comps that scale better past laning phase. so just a few KT mistakes and its over while some of the SKT mistakes weren't punished as hard. the series overall felt much less competitive than their regular season series.
