Malphite indeed was what I would have preferred. Of course I just overrate the champion because it seems like I'm always preferring him but at least he's good vs AD mid and all.

Galio isn"t that bad in a 1v2, esp. once he gets chalice. He can't help clear jungle for shit and he's still worse than Maokai though.

.... the second point is the relevant one since most teams will double jungle and leave a 1v0 in the swapped lane rather than move the top laner into a 1v2. Ability to farm in a 1v2 doesn't even matter because the support always comes bot to help the solo laner get farm when the waves hit turret in bottom lane.
