I think that is very misleading. You become 6th-8th placed team simply by losing like 2 BoXs. That can be caused by having 2 bad days.
The ogn tournaments are not designed to determine the best team overall (no elimination system is), but rather to be a good spectator event.

It's not that SKT is a step ahead, it's that this is the standard for Korea right now and other teams would still be able to execute it better than SKT.
well the same causes (an isolated league with the best competition in korea) have the same effects than in other games. So unsurprising ...

I wonder if Korean's get tired of being asked about the skill level of opponents they just ravaged

How was c9 vs omg? Was omg sandbagging yesterday?

While that is true very often given how brackets are random in this particular tournament it was very clear that they truly are a 4/5th best team in korea at most.

i don't think they care about it.

g1 was alright from c9 until teamfighting happened, they got stomped g2.

Fnatic don't care anyway because despite being trash compared to Koreans they're still the best in EU. That's why they won't change their gameplan nor their players

SKT BARELY clawed their way through group stages and they were very fortunate S lost 2 games in a row to an amateur level team. SKT got a lot more chances than they deserved. Not only that but they lost to Frost 3-1 in NLB. It's one thing to get knocked out of OGN, but in NLB before finals? You can deny the facts all you want, the truth is SKT is not a top 6 team by any measure.
