Two good things from the finals...

1. scarra's Baron condolence tweet.
2. Xpecial showing a new way Thresh players can horribly mess up with his failed lanterns.

LOL I laughed so much at this.

I always laugh at casters trying to hype up the match up by calling it a rivalry. It's a one sided stomp, how can that be a rivalry?

Slays me. TSM is now what.. 1-12 vs C9 over 2 splits?

1-13.
0-8 with Reginald, 1-5 with Bjergsen, 1-0 against Meteos's Fiddlesticks.

They 1-1 vs Meteos Fiddlesticks since Meteos used him once in the summer split finals for game 1 I think.

He was playing only Nocturne and Elise.
And before it it was Zac, Nasus and Elise whole split + one game of Lee Sin against CLG. It's 22 games already and i don't remember what was in other games.
Guess, J4 happened at some point and i remember Evelynn against Dignitas.

Ah, this legendary game where C9 were ready to leave after level 1 :D

http://na.lolesports.com/na-lcs/season-3/split2/matches/week-9/team-coast-vs-cloud-9
God damn it, Meteos :D

Found Nunu as well, i bet that it wasn't only game on Yeti.
And more Lee Sin.

You will still see the same champions. Just means you also dont see 2 other champions ever.

The "only see x champions" is unavoidable since balancing a game of this size is nigh impossible

My post wasn't clear enough. Example - lemon nation playing morg every single game. wtf is that? that should not happen in such a long series, absolutely ridiculous. Not talking about seeing the same "champ pool"

I think you did not understand Gorsameth.

Lemon plays Morg every game because it is the best avaible support to him. Add two bans. The other team uses them to ban Morg. The next best support for lemon is, say, Annie. Now Lemon plays Annie every game. Same problem, other champ.

It's not like the 16 best champs are op and the rest is totally balanced.

To be completely honest, amount of bans less than 10 is ridiculous.
They have place in client right for 4 bans more, i dunno why didn't they add it.
4 or later 6 bans were good because champion pool was little.
Now there are 118 champions and still 6 bans? Lol.

I don't think the skill level difference between teams are as great as the score suggests. C9 is just really damn good at series, and you can see the level of prep they went into the game with. Also they had the huge benefit of having better practice partners, clg.

Increasing number of front loaded bans won't change much. Except for lanes where the matchups that are fragile.

Yup, TSM are skilled too but they arent nearly as smart as C9 and they lack cohesion. I like watching C9 play and it will be much more fun to see them vs a smart team like fnatic etc.

is that really the excuse we're going to take. c9 had better scrim partners when they play tsm all the time? come on now. c9 are just good. doesn't matter if it's a series or not. when you don't really have a weak link like many other teams you will get good consistency. I agree with you on the bans. It really won't change anything. Just got to keep watching those patches and we'll just cycle through them.

yep, i for one would like to see the best teams from each region play an actual season together instead of only getting one match-up in a blue moon like a champions league and the rest can battle it out in the regions. It would be much more fun until the other teams can keep up.

Well for playoff practice previous tsm practice doesn't matter since it's patch 4.5

Let's be honest here. If you were in that position to practice for playoffs on a brand new patch that shifts meta who would want to scrim for 2 weeks straight before? Coast and CLG. Or Curse and Dig.?

Out of every team in the LCS, TSM was the one most hurt by the last patch as well. To declare that C9 is miles and away the best team in NA would be pretty shortsighted based on a series where they were at their best and TSM was at their worst all season. It might turn out C9 is best team NA, but not by the margin most hipster elites would have said.

No you say C9 is miles ahead because there 9-1 vs TSM and this series once again shows that it remains true.
It ignores such insignificant forces as time, entropy, and death

13-1.

TSM are awful on this patch, let's be serious. That's why getting completely new patch before playoffs after 11 weeks regular season is stupid and regular season means nothing. It also means that you can be awful and still win if opposite team chokes hard.

But it doesn't diminish C9's incredible teamplay and decisionmaking, best in whole NA LoL history.
Going 59-7 in 2 splits + playoffs + promotions is a jokingly good, it's something near TPA level of domination in SEA scene after S2 Worlds when they were rolling with 27-1 in single split of GPL.

4-0 and 3-1 in regulars, double 3-0 in finals.
13-1.

If we talk about team strength then you are right, the difference isnt that big, but if we talk about team as in teamplay then the difference is huge. TSM have bjergsen who can carry solo and their other lanes arent that heavy, but they arent very much of a team.

Pretty sure what C9 did to TSM is considered illegal in all 52 states of the US including the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico.
