Not really, TL generally has relaxed rules in LR threads because they are LR threads. LR threads move so fast anyway that is there any reason to care about a few posts of people hyping their team/player? There is still plenty of regular discussion about the games to read.

I've seen it happen plenty, obviously people can cheer, but there's a line between cheering for your team and being intentionally obnoxious.
I personally don't care that much, but it's a pain in the ass to slog through the 10 pages of "you're being too butthurt" and "this is what posts should look like" that I'm contributing too right now and happens every single time someone goes off like that.
