Eu Allstar will be a completely disappointing clusterfuck just like last year. Frankly as much as I like the idea of "trans continental showmatches" All-star formations only work if all players within a team speak the same language. I'd much rather they fly the top 2 teams from spring split somewhere and make them play a short tournament, that could actually mean something or be a pleasure to watch.

Who didn't speak English on the EU team?

Also the NA team was willing to travel to Las Vegas to train, and it's not like the Gambit guys don't frequently travel anyway so they could do the same if they wanted to.

I believe last year the EU all-stars team had english fluency issues with some of Gambit's players

Nah, they hadn't had any problems.
They just played less than 10 games as preparation, when other teams did tryhard with coaches and analysts. (NA especially).
This time it will be completely different story and we will take our revenge :D
sOAZ, Diamondprox, AlexIch, Creaton and Vander - that will be fucking best team which we can land in terms of synergy and raw skill.
But ofc community will force Rekkles and Edward/Yellowstar to go.

Without looking very hard for the posts from back then basically Diamond didn't understand a word Soaz was saying in voicechat and vice versa because they both had pretty strong accents. Bot lane had 0 synergy and only 2 games of practice before they arrived at the actual event.

"Really? Someone on the team said that wasn't the case"

"Oh please you can't believe what he says"

I don't even...............

It wasn't so much that they "couldn't communicate" but that it was very hard to communicate properly. Alex made a typical politically correct post just as you would expect. Soaz made a rather more honest post in french somewhere (cannot find it now, my french isn't good enough to remember a keyphrase to search for it).

The less said about the bot lane the better (Genja beating Yellowpete by 10k votes but not being allowed to go because of the 3+ gambit player rule).

If you believe every feelgood interview on air (specifically from someone who is known to always say the correct things) I really truly pity you.

Do you really have alternative?
Darien? I love him as all Russian community but noone will choose him. Even last season when he did dominate in Spring Split and IEM, he got just ~10% if not less.
Wickd? Nah. Community will force him to have ~20% but that won't be nuff.
Youngbuck? Double nah.
Mimer? No.
Fredy? Picking dude just to play Shyvana? No thanks.
Xaxus? Community won't choose even Overpow or Vander, what to say about Xaxus.
Kev1n is only alternative to sOAZ but when you can pick guy who can play EVERYTHING especially in Allstars where surprise effect is way bigger than in LCS?

Err, IIRC, Gambit is the only team to beat him on Rumble. C9 won the Rumble game at Worlds and forced a ban on his Rumble in Game 3 and he also beat Fnatic again with Rumble during BotA.

Freddy is the best option since Zoro can't play. Darien playstyle works only with Gambit.
For jungle we need to wait few weeks. Svenskeren is god when he has good day, but when he has bad day he is terrible. Diamond is save option. Jankos is solid too.
For mid is only 2 option right now: Overpow/Froggen. Depends what you want, crazy guy that can play everything or guy, that is god at laning phase and have better mechanics.
Bot is hard. Is a lot good adc in EU. Forgiven/Rallez/Rekkles/Creaton are all really good. Hard to say, who is the best since adc don't shine when team play bad.
For support right now: Migxa/Vander are the best. No idea how big Vander champion pool is tho. Yellowstar/Nrated if you want smart guy.

If you go back and watched all the games to keep track of QT winning lane, I wonder what their % is with Annie vs. w/o because any memory I have of Kiwi having a good game is Annie.

Also even if I want to defend europe in general, for any significant comparison a simple size of 10 games total is clearly not enough.

One of the things I hated the most about the way last season lcs and WC was set up, was that we didn't get nearly enough games between regions to really compare them. A single tournament where things actually counted (ignoring the All star tournament and the cross region showmatches we had in spring) is simply not enough.

On top of that C9 only had a single series at the championships to prove their worth. that is almost worthless for any serious judgement. As we saw a single error (thinking they had a plan to handle Kassadin) meant they would go out before they could adapt in any way and show us what they really could do.

He had a strong game on Thresh as well. I can't remember which game it was though. Qt's usually been fine in lane this season. His problem is he can't carry on anyone not named Jinx. He's positioned fine and played fine on Lucian/Cait, but Dig still get romped cause they go near baron (their issues are teamwide, not so much with botlane).

His game on Sivir was a disaster, but that was an anomaly.

Dig's biggest problem imo right now is teams have figured out how Cruzer plays, and are starting to camp toplane.

I rather have the team player. Froggen is mechanically good, and can win lane almost all the time, but the guy is fcking tard when it comes to how to play with a team.

Really ? Fredy instead of Soaz or Kevin ? The meta doesn't favor Soaz much so I'd rather pick Kevin, but I think Soaz is a better top laner than Fredy
Also Froggen instead of Alex ? pls, Froggen is awful, all he does is farm
I don't know why we're talking about EU possible all star team but I just wanted to answer this lol

Sums up my thoughts of the last 5 pages or so.

The games yesterday were quite terrible quality wise, I certainly hope today's games will be better. Especially since NA Ranked is down for the umpteenth time in 3 days when I actually have the urge to play. Watching vods from yesterday certainly isn't happening.
