the thing about Zion is I don't know how he would perform in a normal team set up, if he could do it he's top tier, but I'm not sure he can.

Beef I know and agree, but depends on what Benny wants, maybe he'd rather stay on XDG or find a different team. I just want Mancloud and Xmithie together again
|
I agree. Benny is more standard and Zion is more aggressive with his carry tops which I feel is more volatile and snowbally. If I was making a team, I'd take Benny over Zion.

When your team makes sweeping changes because their problem is "throwing away enormous leads", then you know management isn't exactly on the ball.
They needed to practice between seasons and work on how they played out the lategame. Instead they apparently didn't practice (Bloodwater said they barely practiced between worlds and Bota) and made big roster changes.

seems like both kenma and owner have no idea what they're doing.
I hope the situation becomes better for the players. Hopefully soon, but the more reasonable outcome is XDG fails this split, get relegated, and players go to new teams/XDG bought out.
When is relegation?

I know it's been said before but Jesus Christ, how fucking stupid do you have to be to move your best player out of his best position in order to move your worst player there because you think he'll be able to shotcall better? They deserve everything they get for that shit.

According to Richard Lewis, it was all Kenma's decision. The owner/manager had nothing to do with it.
Should be taken with a grain of salt because he hasn't named any sources, but that's the current story at least.

After those 3 you have Quas, Cruzer, Nien, Innox. I don't think Benny is significantly better than the rest of the ones there nor is he worse.
Every toplaner except Balls is on same level basically. Dyrus is close, but not same level. Zion is just flashy sometimes because of it people tend to hype him especially for playing in 2-threat team.

Zion is good but as the only position 1 top in the NA it's really hard to gauge him vs. Ball/Dyrus

My reaction hearing it at the start of the cast: "New jungler" Oh ok, cool. Could be a good move...wonder if Zuna is just taking a week or... "Zuna in support" .........what?
Seriously, the XDG tier list goes Bloodwater >>>>>>> Mancloud > Xmithie (jungle) >>>> Benny >> Xmithie(adc)/Zuna (adc) >>> Zuna (jungle). Ugh.
I don't think I can even watch them anymore this split. I used to really like vulcun, and actually didn't think Zuna was so terrible and his play could be better focused on some non-tristana carries, but it was more "popular" to shit on Zuna when they lost than even mention him when he did his job. But now...ugh. No bloodwater = no interest.
(Also just read some of the AMA...yeah I'm hoping LMQ or something take their spot next season.)

It's such a shame for a team that did really well last split and made it to World's, even if they did have some serious problems, to start looking like this split's Velocity mostly due mismanagement :/

Heh, different opinions about NA toplaners I see. I'd actually say the best are Benny, Dyrus and Quas.
|
What I dont get is how teams accept it. Do they just not see that it is a bad choice or are they told to like it or get replaced themselves aswell. In which case it just shows that players need to hold power in there own hands through the LCS spot like Alternate(I think?) did.
