NA mids are definitely weaker. Shiphtur is normally solid but fucked himself in draft.

I'm still scratching my head with the Kat pick.

it's pretty simple, it instantly makes your teamfight stronger than the other teams, it has synergy with Jinx and you can counter Zed ult with Shunpo

it's a good pick played poorly.

too weak in lane imo. I understand how the team comp supposed to work out in teamfights, but you can't sacrifice lane strength for that, especially against a top tier midlaner like Bjergsen.

Kat does not die to Zed in lane if played correctly

vs. Zed that is a win.

I give that lane advantage to Zed tbh.

win, won, semantics. Who cares, they have Bjergsen now. That's a way bigger splash than Cloud 9's 5-8th place (aka 3 games played hue) at Worlds.

Fanbase retention is a thing too, though. Imagine if C9 go 3-25 or something like that this split, they're going to lose way more fans than TSM would in the same situation (if anything it would give them more exposure by making haters more vocal). That TSM fans are so resilient is good for them in terms of exposure, derived products, etc.
Cant take LMS hipsters serious.

Except they won NA LCS last spring which was less than a year ago... and got second place in the summer split.

There are very few tournaments in the past year so there aren't many teams who have won things. Clearly they have been pretty solid. Yes NA isn't on the same level as Worlds obviously, but they have still won recently.

Crs and dig weren't good enough back then and CLG threw their popularity harder than XDG threw matches. TSM pretty much got to win the NA fanbase by default

So that must be why they were chanting TSM in Europe during BotA?

It also helps that Solomid was one of the first LoL websites, which was a huge reason why the solomid brand name got popular in the first place.

it's pretty simple, you have a champion who isn't a kill threat without ult vs. a champion who can not only dodge it but take reduced base damage from it, I don't even see how this a confusing concept

but go ahead take his word for it w/o an explanation
