[S3 Worlds] Quarterfinals - Page 154

Two things as public notice:
1. + Show Spoiler [Quarterfinals 1 spoiler] +
Congrats to Fnatic, they played superbly and glgl to them in the Semis!
No one is saying that Fnatic only won because of the level 1 in Game 3. Please keep the nationalistic statements out of our subforum.

2. Riot's Worlds format is atrocious. Let's not beat a dead horse here. I will certainly be talking to Riot's eSports dept about it in the near future.

I simply ask everyone to be civil. Humble in victory, graceful in defeat.
Enjoy the games~

Pray was NOT the problem there.

Nunu pick is utter trash in this meta and we all know how protect the adc works in the past couple months. (hint: it doesn't)

Never realized there was hype for that team. They were pretty much sucking the 2nd half of the season.

I'm not even in the slightest surprised they lost.

Well... This is something. Are SKT and KT B the only competent Korean teams all of a sudden?

I think a large part of the problem is that the Korean teams seem to play with certain, unspoken "gentlemen's agreements" that the other regions do not follow. You saw Ozone really struggle with adjusting to this, while SKT was caught with their pants down once, and then quickly adapted their play to take advantage of some of the trends they were seeing.
Teamwork is awesome... As long as your team is doing all the work!

Remember scrim's don't really tell anything. Historically in e-sports, there's always been "training room bonjwa's" who perform well w/ no pressure, while crumbling when playing when in LANs.

So far all I've taken away from worlds is all of the top teams (the teams in the top 8) can take games off of each other all day and are quite close in skill.

you just can't use spells other than Q to farm in that match up, Nagane displayed a complete lack of match up knowlege for how to lane her vs. Fizz.

Which is weird considering I would think pro mid laners would know most if not all matchups, let alone a super common one like this

I think Genja needs a fanclub, tbh. Or at least a research institute/thinktank trying to decipher his builds.

I think people just underestimate phage as a stand alone item. The speed buff is the same as triforce and lets you chase anyone, even if you aren't a mobile ADC. The defensive and offensive stats are pretty good now since they reduced the price.

Fizz was only really ever picked in Korea (in pro games) like 3 mabye 4 times, it was not a big pick until very recently, even after the summer finals as a matter of fact

It's like the evil forces of NA and EU making a truce, to bash Korea instead, haha.
