I predict that the Dota 2 MVP team is going to start performing better. I also predict a large bribe from Samsung in the mail to get his ass over to LA like tonight.

KT B would be a different story You forgot to take into account the international experience CJ teams have compared to Ozone. It seems nervousness on top of under preparedness for the new patch is what's killing Ozone. CJ teams at the very least, wont have mental breakdowns from being in a foreign international stage like Dade seems to be having.
But I do agree with you tho, KTB would of been a better choice than the CJ teams. I Kinda blame the flawed circuit point system where no emphasis is placed on more recent results; but this is kinda off topic.

Korea is the only region that did that, every other region made teams earn their spot at worlds.
I agree. Every region sent out their hottest teams NOW, while Korea is sending teams that did well 6-9 months ago.
Proleague should change that. They'll have a more frequent proleague, and less frequent "starleagues" (OGN) that should be the worlds qualifier.

To be fair, Ozone did get 3rd in the latest OGN season. So you could argue that is they played, it would have been SKT1, KT B and Ozone for Korea reps..

I don't know who it was on Vulcan, but you could see him laughing when Mineski started hovering over the Ryze pick.

Pretty sure most people would have picked Ozone to come as the 3rd team with SKT and KTB

Mineski vs Vulcun
Bans: Ahri Sona Orianna Zed Corki Lee Sin
Picks: Shen Zyra / Elise Nocturne / Thresh Karthus / Caitlyn Varus / Ryze Nasus

I wish that if Korea kept the system, points decayed by ~20% each season so the most recent winners mattered more than those who won 6 months ago

This is true, but even in that scenario Korea would be giving SKT T1 a spot into quarters while KT B would be there instead of Sword. Still a better scenario for Korea.

Unless I'm horrible at this game (possible), I'm pretty sure this ryze will get dumped on by Karthus. Ryze with the range nerfs will just straight lose to Karthus. I see no chance for Ryze unless he gets ganks. (If Karthus gets Exh. If he gets ignite Ryze will be able to get kills).
|
I actually really like the comp from Mineski, but their bottom lane has been a giant problem all tourney long.
On the other hand, I really don't like the Vulcun team composition. It relies on strong late game farmed champions (Cait/Karthus/Nasus) with a mid-game and early game strong jungler EDIT: when their strength is early game lane control. The Zyra is strong simply because it's Bloodwater but we'll see. I'd rather have seen something like Trist for Zuna.

What about Korea's seeded team Najin? Are they not in top form?
