His Varus play in game 2 against Blast was kind of mediocre in my eyes, and Ozone kind of carried Imp with their ridiculous engages (Dandy lee kick of 1000 truths). Part of it is his relative proficiency on auto-attack dependent carries like Vayne, and Caitlyn. Imp is perhaps the best in the world in that regard, but encorporating that playstyle with a champion like Varus has its limitations due to the natural design of the champion (more dependent on skill damage, and harder to kite due to the lack of escapes). He still maximizes the auto-attack potential of Varus better than almost anyone I've seen, but obviously there's no way he can look favourably against himself playing Vayne. Imp practices Varus a lot for his team-fighting potential (his ultimate) and for being a lane-bully, and if you look at his ultimate usage during team-fights, they're pretty much spot on. DanDy's plays during team-fights were facilitated greatly by imp's contributions. However, outside of that, there's a massive limitation to how much playmaking you can do with imp's approach to how to play Varus.

It's not like Sword can't play well...it's just their champion selections were terrible this past series... There were good Draven players like Pecko, and Promise. I recommend you can check out Pecko's Draven play before lumping Korean AD carries together (faceless Korean gamers FTW). PraY on the other hand has never been good with Draven. I've never been too convinced of his Caitlyn (it's acceptable, but there are better Caitlyn players like Space) or Vayne (imp comes to mind) either. PraY is at his element playing champions like Ezreal, and tend to be better on champions Kog'maw, Miss Fortune, and Twitch. Every AD carry has their characteristics

Every AD carry has their characteristics That's mostly what I wanted to say. Pray's real strength is more positional, and Draven really limits that by having to catch axes to be really strong late game. At this level, I think it's really hard to pull off Draven against a lot of these teams' current strats. Maybe if you're running a KT B-esque "no team fight just skirmishes into pushing towers hard" kind of style, I could see it being viable though. It's just a lot harder to execute I think. I'm no Korean pro, but these are my thoughts.

Even more so in team-fights, PraY was next to useless in multiple team-fights which is most unlike him when he plays champions he is comfortable with.

I'm not sure which teams can encorporate the situational champion pick that is Draven succesfully, but it definately takes a player who has mastered the champion to make sense of the composition regardless of the metagame. PraY has been notorious for his lackluster Draven play even in solo-que, but there are a couple of players who uses Draven skillfully even if they are not well known. I just wanted to put it out there. PraY has a distinct playstyle like you've mentioned, and while he has successfully encorporated playing Caitlyn to his repertoire to a reasonable degree, his Draven makes me want to hurl. It's a shame because his strengths, tendencies, and short-comings makes can be generalized, since he is basically the face of Korean AD carries for now. It's the kind of thing I kind of over-react to pre-emptively ever since people started spreading the word about Korean AD carries based on their views on Woong, and Cpt Jack several months ago.

Woong and Cpt Jack are like one of the worst to generalize all Korean ADCs lol. They both had/have such distinct champion pools and thus their skill were/are not necessarily well rounded, say compared to imp's. Pray I guess is starting to fall into the old school group from what I've understood from you. Speaking of which, what is Promise up to? I noticed he didn't join HGD.

Nah, I'm just having a knee-jerk reaction. PraY is still one of the AD carries I respect the most, and it's just the way people generalize from watching a couple of games that reminds me of Cpt Jack, not his deterioration of skill (he always sucked at Draven). He was awesome during NLB Spring Season carrying games by himself with his Ezreal. I'm sorry to say that I have no idea what Promise is up to. It's a shame because despite his inability to farm well when he goes all out trading, he does have pretty good knowledge of trading in the laning phase. His Draven always crushed opponents during the laning phase when I managed to catch games of him in solo-que. He doesn't seem to be appreciated too much compared in the professional scene compared to his solo-que performances, which makes me wonder if his playstyle is somehow more suited towards solo-que play.
