NA could have won if SV didnt miss his smite and/or take all the kills from Urgot.

That Baron play was ridiculous on so many levels. First off they KNEW if they chased Dyrus bot that NA would force Baron, and that NA didn't have the damage to really just push to kill it before anyone had a chance to respond. They had to have called that play ahead of time to force the situation and then try for that play, the co-ordination/timing is ridiculous.

Didn't really make a difference but it's something that shouldn't be in the tournament client.

Or maybe just don't let the ad carry without real tank items initiate under tower versus a baroned up team. Game was still winable after the smitefail.

NA got outclassed in the end, but I hope it puts a stop to the trash talk against NA. I think most of the mistakes were just poor decision making - I didn't see a huge mechanical skill gap that people talk about. Don't regret getting up at 3am before work to watch...yet TT.

More or less. Game 1 was lost due to basically being completely outpicked, and then having the lane swap predicted and matched which meant there weren't really any chance of the lanes salvaging an advantage by themselves.

Game 2 was a much more even draft, and several...very questionable calls (mostly the towerdive after the baron steal) lead to the game to reverse snowball.

Loser's bracket.

In all honesty, I'd give them good odds against EU (going to bet on KR here), and CN are the heavy favorites to take the tourney entirely.

Nah, korea are the heavy favorites. Doesn't matter if the china team is on there home turf I highly doubt they have more experience and skill then the korean team

I follow the korean scene pretty heavily and I really have to disagree with you here. I would say the China is the team to beat, and the korean team isn't more skilled or experienced than the Chinese team. It was reported that China had been boot camping even before NA started and I know for a fact that the Korean team probably didnt even bootcamp or had the least amount of practice because of OGN Spring, the last game was CJ Frost vs Najin sword which has 3 of the allstar players.

Really? I thought CN had less time to bootcamp then NA. If that's the case, NA can definitely hold its head high (I now def expect CN to win this).

But it also depends on how the EU/KR match unfolds. My scanner needs to determine their power levels.

You can smite through everything but suppress.

So the explanation is.
1. SV is already a very bad smiter as we knew already.
2.Under the nerves that Sona flash in ult all of them he panicked
3. SV doesn't even know you can still Smite while dancing.

i wouldn't be surprised at a 2-1 eu win at this point. but anything goes

The problem here is that EU has mentioned that they have no had much practice time together. See this:

Q: There was some trouble getting sOAZ into the country. Will your lack of training have influence on your upcoming matches?

sOAZ: Of course, as we've missed four days of practice. It's worse for us and better for the other teams, but we'll talk more today and see what we can do against the Koreans.

How did EU bootcamp? Was it just online like Gambit usually does?

If so, I'd imagine problems might crop up.

I believe they were going to boot camp after gathering in china, but they had visa issues. Source:

There was a video out interviewing 2 of the 5 who were still in the fnatic house(I believe) around 2 days before their trip explaining a bit more, but I'm too lazy to find that right now.

Its not that difficult to get a visa for China as a EU citizen. Soaz (or his coach) must have fucked up. Pretty inexcusable for an event as important as this.

I don't know if it was an actual bug or a visual bug. There have been A LOT of those in spectator mode recently if you keep up with all the tournament streams.

China rigged the client in order to favor their team, only reason why NA lost.

GGWP China. Picks may not have been optimal, but they weren't the main reason for the losses (China showed the power of game 1's comp against us in game 2). Decision making was extremely poor. Game 1, NA tried to be aggressive early game against a stronger earlier game team (that dragon fight pretty much sealed the deal) and I don't even want to talk about that recall. Game 2, NA tried to baron bait vs a smart team and then initiated a dive with doublelift (the main source of damage). We showed our potential the first half of game 2, but couldn't maintain that quality of play.

China rigged the client in order to favor their team, only reason why NA lost.

therefore this doesnt prove anything, na is still super talented and best, same as tsm was in s2 if them koreans didnt cheeet.

I'm not sure what you are asking for here. Can you be more specific? If you mean these LPL vs NA matches, you can find them on youtube as you can rewind.

Compared to most countries it is much more of a hassle - e.g needs to be done a while in advance instead of just happening automatically at the airport. But yeah, you'd think they'd be on top of it...
