Trust me, it's directed. ![]() I don't know how to explain to you that they do have an observer though. I thought for a long time it was directed mode as well, and I refused to believe otherwise. That was until the person who does the observing posted on twitter on asking for tips to improve. For some reason, I cannot remember his name at all. Also as I mentioned, they might have changed the observer, which is why it's gotten worse in the last few weeks/months

CloudTemplar said they have no idea how strong Garena is these days. and When they were scrimming in shang hai with korean teams the pings were like 120-200 so they got beat a lot. the pings just doesn't work NA teams would have to go to Korea or something. I think more international tournaments need to happen. I know it's resource heavy in terms of cost and time. And it also taxes the players themselves because they play a marathon of games over a series of 2-3 days. But it will remove the complacency from the regions, especially the NA because it's the most prone to hype. And who doesn't like watching different metas clash. Would be nice to see the hyperaggressiveness of SGS's early game against EG's slower gameplay.

While more international competitions like Allstars would be exceptionally good, I don't think NA or EU needs to do something differently aside from continuing the current trend started by LCS, i.e. improve regional infrastructure and provide a greater competitive atmosphere for the top teams (and hopefully some more amateur support). The GGU/Vulcun upsets to seize 2nd and 3rd spots for instance in NA is a good sign. A really good sign, considering how far they trailed earlier in the season.

I think it's kind of balanced in the fact that China had to play SEA to make it to finals whereas Korea got to play the team coming from loser's bracket (EU/NA both much weaker teams and both came from loser's bracket so...). SEA was the highest seeded team in the tournament so it's about as fair as they can make it. I think if they do an All-Stars next year they should consider doing some sort of round robin play or something.
