alkso, supports getting an early kill or two is actually really helpful since they get the whole sightstone gp5 machine started and ward the whole map for the rest of the game.

It's bruiser Vlad which seems common in s3. Starts with Warmogs for laning then adds AP items (hextech, Deathcap). Too bad that the laning phase was over at the Warmogs stage... But isn't the ratio AP to HP much more effective than HP to AP? I mean, even if it gets beyond laning phase, I can't imagine him being a threat at all when going Mercs / Tabi / Warmog's / Chain Vest or Negatron... Yes. It's basically a build that makes you not die but also delays your usefulness (especially in short fights like Eve and Sona force) by a long time. It would have made more sense to go glass cannon Vlad and hope for something

Actually without ganks Kog+Nunu will outtrade Ez+Sona eventually unless Ezreal manages to get ahead very early on - which they did here causing Kog to go to base at lvl 2, and then got the FB and then the doublekill dive.

I call GBG 2-0 on this one Sometimes surrendering is better than fighting hard and losing badly. Just wipe it clean and forget about game 1 then go into game 2 normally. Well usually they ( Chinese/Koreans ) fight as long as they can ( Dat match with the 3 inhib down comeback ), it felt more like a frustration surrend from Cpt Jack ( even though this is purely guessing ) than a " let's move on onto the next one " they might prove me wrong tho, even though i'd really like GBG to win ! Only because they are so serious. But have you seen korean soloq games? It's very common for everybody to go AFK at 15 minutes if the game is going very badly. Someone from CLG I think said that Koreans get discouraged to play easily.
So ... are you backing me up or what ? XD I don't get the point you're trying to make, of course on the ladder it's trolling, but this isnt ladder at all ! and when you say the ydiscouraged easily, well having to surrend looks more than enough for them to be discouraged and enter game 2 with a moral disadvantage

I don't think he was meant to be a threat. They had Ryze and Kog for their big threats. So I think the logic was he does well in lane(Dunno Youngbuck quotes here) and then has damage amplification on his ulti so he can build tanky while helping out the two big threats.

Almost 300k people watching the differente LoL streams alone, plus the SC2 stream number I think its been a good few days for IEM, ESL and Esports

Yeah, Korean teams will usually favor extra utility and tankiness instead of having another glass cannon.

As someone already said, Azubu were never going to win that game. Rather than trying their hardest for nothing and then being mentally and physically exhausted for the next games, they decided to completely wipe the slate clean and go into the next game with a refreshed mindset.

EZREAL REAL BALANCED CHARACTER zzzz, my hate for that character knows no bounds. They ban out Cptjack to set up for a super bully lane that is rough to deal with aside from utilizing MF or maybe urgot. But to be fair, azubu blaze made a TERRIBLE call by picking kog nunu knowing Genja has been spamming ezreal games, kog nunu is too ez to counter with ezreal sona/ lulu. I feel like they were expecting that gambit was expecting azubu to 2v1 top, so they went bot, but they didn't metagame them, so they just got screwed in lane.
Anyway ezreal is dumb, and they just played strong lanes. Though flame stomping darien surprised me, that was a lane i expected vlad to lose.

you max W to lvl 3 by 5, then you start maxing Q, thats standard mundo. you never actually MAX W first, thats bad and just drains hp. especially in the new jungle which punishes heavy aoe junglers.

Pretty sure that Azubu chose the standard lanes on purpose. Vlad was a counterpick for Renekton (and it worked). Kog Nunu is one of the better lanes against Ez - in fact we've seen Kog beat Ez in lane several times in this tournament I believe. Well done by GG making the perfect counterplay though.
