Every Olaf I see is losing.

Darius kicks the crap out of Olaf 1v1, the idea was that skarner would be able to camp him top because there isn't much that Darius can do to stop that especially with a Karthus ult as well.
Thing is Skarner had no blue buff early... or ever, so Curse was just able to let Westrice bully Olaf and roam for free. This also won them mid/jungle as well because Jacky got blue and Karthus didn't and Saint got experiences for an extra buff camp ever 5 minutes.

I don't think it was ever said they agreed to split the money. In fact, I do not think MLG would allow that if they found out that was the case. Did watch the game? It was so obvious they were joking around that the casters even said it, not as analysis but observation. If you're playing a tryhard match in ARAM setting for 1.6k I personally wouldn't suicide into the nexus rather than kill free nexus turrets, not sure about you. That's perfectly fine but don't think 1.6k means as much to them as it does for you. It's really not very much for them and I could very well see them throwing it away for fun if they wanted to. Top teams pass on smaller online tournaments ALL the time that have a 5k 1st place prize (1.6k each like here) just because it's not worth it to them when they can easily make comparably similar from streaming or prepping for a larger tournament. e.g. top EU teams consistently do this Do you really think progamers are wealthy and they can afford to throw money away? Most of them make a fairly meager living, I'm not sure what gave people the impressions that progamers are swimming in cash and just don't care about 1600 bucks. Btw there aren't small online tournaments ALL the time with 5k first prizes. Can you name a couple for me? Totally true but most people I know when they have the choice to get 1.6k or not get 1.6k would opt to take it, it is that little you'd rather have a little more fun for a couple league games than get 1.6k?
It doesn't matter whether they were planning on splitting the money or not. The fact that they cared so little that they ARAM'd game 1 in the first place (and were laughing and giggling in the camera the whole time) is way more than enough evidence then needed to know that they didn't really care.

Btw how many blue buffs did curse steal in this series? Pretty crazy how coordinated and spot on they were on objectives

Well Dig's strategy (as moonbear said) was to use Skarner's ult so they could burst Darius down before he could do anything, but to do that you need people who can actually burst someone down quickly, not Karthus and Olaf.

There was one point where Westrice pulled Crumbz in despite being just above half health. It seemed like if Crumbz just blew his ult and started spamming Axes/Swings he could have destroyed Westrice. Instead he tried to run first without using his ultimate, eating a lot of damage as he ran, before blowing his ultimate just before the dunk.
I'm not a top lane expert, so maybe I read the situation wrong, but at the very least Crumbz would have survived if he'd blown his ult earlier.

Grats to Curse and Saint for picking up a win.

I'm guessing it's more because the Grand Finals were a joke, and now a scandal.
