The team that does better in qualifiers get to play the team that played poorly in the qualifiers (but still managed to qualify). So they somewhat earn playing "easier" teams. It'd eliminate the grand finals advantage one team has over the other, but you'd lose the ability for a team to come back after dropping a set.

Answer is no. It's either one or the other. But he was asking a legit question, no need to be snarky. WOW how is giving some team a second chance equal to giving another team a big advantage? if every team gets a second chance nobody has the right to complain.

TSM would have won without these matches if things were "fair" for them.

There's always variance. One gives a second chance, one doesn't. That's the difference. It's perfectly even for both teams in the grand finals.

WOW Most people I talk to dislike "extended series" or giving the winning team a game up. It feels a bit anti-climatic when the team with the advantage wins. I'm not saying they didn't deserve it or anything, but it's jsut less fun (for me anyway, and seem like a lot of people feel the same with that I talk to). Personally? I like single elimination. Much more "on-the-line", tense atomosphere. But my complaint isn't so much "the losers bracket champ is at such a big disadvantage, it's unfair"...it's much more "this isn't fun to watch if the winners bracket champ has such a huge advantage."
