At any point of IEM Kiev, if you think of an interesting byline, please drop a sentence in the Pro Scene thread. (e.g. "Day 2: M5 hype was everything people expected") At the end of the month, I'll catalogue the results of Kiev but also any interesting facts or events that happen over the course of the tournament. Thanks. Neo, 20.1.2012 |
Deman: And here is Regi. Now that was a perfect performance from you guys! Reginald: Not really. I died twice. Both: Hahahahaha.
Deman: Well, then what are your thoughts? Reginald: Well, we decided to take it slow. We could have won faster. But a lot of the time we lose we get ahead, try to make a big play and then it backfires and we lose. So now we take it slow and guarantee the win.
Deman: How is it playing on the big stage? Reginald: The people on the left are affected by it more than me. I'm not that distracted by the sound. Deman: So, voice comms, and communication? Reginald: We didn't talk that much. We just did it and played. We watched all the games yesterday and the interviews. We're pumped. So much trashtalk. And us losing scrims. We're pumped. We want to win.
Deman: What did you think watching M5 v SK? Reginald: I'm not going to lie. I was really surprised. It was like the LB v Sion game. SK had last pick for their mid for Oce. It was really bad of them. They got outpicked heavily. What's Anivia going to do against Morde? Morde just walks into your jungle and takes everything. Personally, I think M5 played really sloppy. The score was 8-8 in kills. They had so much control but gave up kills. It should have been a stomp, like in Game 2.
Deman: What's your thoughts on SK v Dignitas? Reginald: It really depends on the bans/picks. There's a trend to forcing people into late game champs, choosing early game champs and crushing them. Personally, I want SK to win because I'm closer than them.
Deman: You talked about moving to EUW. Could you explain? Reginald: NA teams don't dedicate themselves as much. The NA Scene isn't as strong. The EU Teams are much stronger. There are lots of good teams winning all the time. EU has 20 good teams, NA has 3.
Deman: So... big question. Is Chaox scared of the dark? Reginald: No. Haha. It was probably photoshopped. Deman: No, no, it was real. Reginald: Really? Haha. I guess he's just easily spooked. Deman: So you like pidgeons? Reginald: Haha, someone just put a pidgeon on him and was like: "Hey, pay me" and Chaox was a little freaked so we just payed him. Deman: So seen the city much? Reginald: We just bought McDonalds and watched the games. There's so much trashtalk, we have to win or look a fool. So we have to win haha.
Deman: Are there any teams you consider a barrier? Reginald: I'm not sure where teams are placed. We lost a lot of scrims before coming in here. To use nothing matters, first second third. We just have to come here and beat M5. Deman: Well, Dignitas was a team that came out of nowhere and now they're not a big contender compared to others. Will M5 be like them in the future? Reginald: Well, Dignitas only has a small pool of champs they play. So you can ban them out and force them to play certain ways. But M5 is the real deal. They can play anything. They're a real contender.
Deman: Cool. Well, any last shoutouts? Reginald: Shoutout to my team watching. My brother and family. And Solomid and our fans. And ESL for hosting. I had a good time so far.

TSM gonna take this final easy. Way too solid in every aspect of the game to fall for m5 gimmiks. It's like trying to cheese MMA or MVP, it just doesn't work...

not shure about solo queue, but they are levelling up accounts on EUW to scrim vs. the EU teams.

They could use EU W to play Ranked 5s as a team. Since apparently that's big in EU and not just a stomp for the pro teams like NA ranked teams.
edit: What is it with CLG and TSM? They both get McDonald's in every country they go to lol.

Also, M5 has two ranked 5 teams in the top 10 on EUW.

Yeah i would assume Eu accounts would be for scrims and maybe for ranked 5s

People who think TSM is going to stomp M5 havent watched the M5 games I persume? Man, its such a close call but Im going to go with M5,

I don't think you ban M5 out by banning GP and Ken lol.
It's a pretty close call.

I'mma go with the EU and say M5 will take it, but I will also say TSM will roll IEM World Championship because of there determination after this finals

I don't think you ban M5 out by banning GP and Ken lol. It's a pretty close call. The GP ban would affect either team since they each have a player that can really impact the game with him. M5's Ken has been pretty fierce as well, the rest of the antics by M5 will just be outmatched by TSM.

Although Sleezy was supposedly a very good jungler as well, so we'll see. And I think Diamond has more up his sleeve than just stealing buffs.

This will be an interesting finals.
Its like it was destined to be after all the scrims these 2 teams had and the bit of drama that ensued afterwards.

You know what you get since it's the same everyhere It's not like they have much time for culinary exploration.

It's not like M5 have never pracced TSM and it goes the other way around as well? M5 is strong, TMS is strong, tomorrow we see who prevails, but whatever happens in finals, I'll say M5 made a bloody awesome first offline showing, getting to finals with perfect record.

So it looks like M5 is definitely qualified for Hanover. After IEM Kiev though iG and Alternate should be tied for the last available spot for the grand finals, does anyone know how they decide who takes the 12th spot in the case of a tie? Because iG would be such a better team to have going to the finals.

Loving this show by Bitter. Being new to LoL and having a background in HoN, it's nice to have such a detailed guide to the heroes and items and what's a good counter to other things.
Edit: Didn't know this was the Ocelote from WoW :O

It's basically the same for Ryze. You can't pick Ryze with Cassio still on the board. Bad picks all around.
