scrimmed vs rs,tsm,v8,goose,crs
complexity is shit, just looking at thier members
v8 is trash when u ban karthus,we crushed every lane in every scrim but 1 where every1 was super duper tired
goose is okay but their just on tsm or clg or rs level
crs has strong solos but they make retarded decisions in game
i wish riot would give me better ping

So out of the 8 teams. A Tier is CLG TSM EG D. In your opinion, Blight is strongest out of the B Tier?

can someone clarify something for me?

the ro8 and ro4 matches are going to be a bo1? seems so based on the schedule. i'm pretty disappointed if they're only going to be bo1 series.

Thats the thing about CRS. They could be a really good team, they just fall apart every game, without fail.

I would be too since there's quite a bit of money on the line. I only took the game times from the Riot post, but IPL's official schedule have something different. All the games have a 2 hour time slot, so hopefully we get bo3's.

I'll update it to the new times.

Money on Doublelift getting caught. Seems to be the case every time Crs loses.

Dignitas will be my favorite for this tourny (zzz no salce on EG), will be cool to see Loci and the rest of them play. Hopefully Loci has practiced with them enough to be able to play with their shenanigans,

on Curse: there is a reason some caster refers to facechecking as Doubblifting isnt it? that and last time I saw them play they had their starter lineup and was playing a completely meh game. It wasnt bad, but it wasnt good enough to beat some of the stronger teams either. And now they dont have the starter lineup? Crs going out of group stages imo.

Cmplxt: I dont even... how did they get through? oh well anywyas, probably going out of rgoupstages aswell.

This is THE tournament to decide which is the best offline team in North America right now.

(And it's going to be Dignitas)

During Dreamhack quals, Doublelift facechecked a bush 3 separate times. (Almost) the entire enemy team was in that bush all 3 times. He died.

It might be 2 hour timeslots but take 40min per game as an average not counting picks and bans and your already at 2 hours. IEM took 4 hours to get a bo3 done tho with the long breaks they had that can ofc be cut down a bit.
Still tho, either they are hoping for some quick 2-0s or they will run out of time if a few of em go 3 long games.

I think it'll be pretty impossible to figure out how well Dignitas will do here. Due to having LoCi (gl!) in for Voyboy it seems a lot of their strategies won't be usable. Their Akali/Kat and other Voyboy/Scarra rape train strats won't be usable. Voyboy is a pretty key figure in these. I don't know how easily LoCi can take his place in them so we may see a more "standard" Dignitas this weekend. The way I see it, LoCi is a damn good laner and with the other four together we may be seeing some Dyrus style stuff with aiming for 4v4 and an AFK top. However, we could (please!) see a variant on the Akali/Kat shenanigans with a Pantheon/X strat. There will probably be full armour pages prepared though so we'll have to see how this goes.

CLG will just have gotten back from China so they could well be totally jetlagged and screwed over. I doubt they'd have been able to go home so tiredness could be an issue but honestly I have no idea. Despite all this I really don't see them crashing out early.

I think this is TSM's event to win. They've been training very hard since MLG and they're one of the only teams with their full roster there. Chaox has been doing some amazing things on his stream recently. It will probably come down to Reginald again at mid and if he's against one of the many ringers or tired players he could well run away with it. I expect some crazy stuff whipped out this tournament from these guys but if it's Bo1, we may have to wait.

v8 I don't think have the experience to take this one. They got second in the IEM qualifiers but they got a bye past TSM and lost to Diginitas in the final so they haven't beaten and top-top teams yet. However they have a solid lineup and TreeEskimo knows his stuff. I expect one or two really dominant games showing a lot of promise but they'll get closed down by inconsistency. I'm not too certain on how banning will affect these guys so I won't say anything about it.

Can't say a lot about Blight, they're the solid #8 team here and I don't know what to expect. I don't even think we'll see any crazy picks. Probably we'll get one team doing some weird against them and Blight just playing standard.

I would stick Complexity as a first round loss if it's Bo3 (which we think it is). I've seen Yuhn a few times on streams recently and he's not been playing well. It's different with a team but I haven't heard anything from the other players. They got signed so they'll have a lot to prove but I don't think we'll see it this weekend.

I think Curse are improving. DoubleLift seems to be getting better while Lapaka is getting worse but the team really should be close by now. They've been together for a while so they really should be making some head-way. I don't think that Nyjacky or SYDTKO have that wow-factor champion that really scares people. We've seen this trend that players with that super-scary character really change games. If you have one ridiculous character and a bunch of strong ones you're a huge asset to your team (you just have to look at the top sponsored players to see this in action and, also, where it lets people down). This will probably be up to DoubleLift and Liquid to do very well. Dignitas vs Curse should be very very interesting.

Finally EG (they have been scrimming with Crumbzz). Dyrus has been playing farming incredibly on his stream. I watched a game with Westrice and Nhat laning together but it was just a conincidence that they joined the same game. Anyway, Chaox and random support totally shut them down but Nhat looked solid late-game. Loss of Salce might not be a huge issue if Crumbzz does well. We saw how well they did with PGB for one event and with the team being mostly solo-queue practice I don't think it'll be too bad. We'll have to see how well Westrice does and see if Dyrus can do his thing.

Not sure why I wrote all this. Whenever I see other people write them I get annoyed at how wrong they are but meh.

According to this bracket its going to be bo1 unfortunately (i was hoping for bo3) If it is true that tournament, sure, is going to be fun, but isn't going to decide which team in NA is the best. In this formula it could be anybody's tournament. I think Dignitas will win, but I will cheer for CLG

2h For a best of one is kinda silly tho, especially also for the semis and the finals.
Im really hoping they plan bo3s and are having few breaks and hoping for no 3x 40min games

Problem is that long before LoL was added to IPL they settled on a venue inside a casino.
Its not IPL not wanting the young players but more like it legaly not being allowed for them to be inside.

There are SC2 players below 18.

They chose to have inferior competition for the sake of maybe having a bigger "spectacle."

No it's not. This tournament will tell you almost nothing useful. Many of the teams don't have their actual rosters because of age restrictions and with the apparent bo1 format, you're going to have way too much variance to draw a conclusion on actual team ability.
