Before you ask any questions, check the OP first. JBright doesn't make an elaborate first post for no reason.

To fix stream choppiness, turn down the resolution to 720p or 480p

The fact that LoL was more of bit part player compared to SC2 at this event contributed to the underwhelming atmosphere imo (as well as mediocre teams and games).
IEM NY will be better but I think the big one will be the next DreamHack and Season 2 tournaments. It would be so great to see the best CN, KR, EU and NA teams duke it out in a big prizepool tournament though.

The production quality of IPL however was astounding.

Yup, probably most pro streaming I've seen regarding Quality and Schedule. Commentary wasn't awesome however, please bring back Zenon and his friend for IEM NY. Phreak and his buddy said so much stupid things about the game, had annoying fanboyism reactions and weren't looking at the camera at all (TreeEskimo was better at this)...
please don't bring back zenon and his friend, i enjoyed looking at their faces even less than i do phreak, rivington is tolerable, barely. please ask like saintvicious and westrice to cast or something, holy damn
Gotta cater to all 4 of them fangirls instead of the 49996 other people
yo don't tell me you wouldn't rather have saint and west casting anyways, they are more knowledgeable than any of the other guys LOL
TBH I'd rather have elementz doing it
I think TreeEskimo should be the #1 caster for these kinds of events. He has really good insight of the game and can talk about everything. We should try to pressure Riot to give him more space to cast games. Phreak doesn't have any kind of map awareness and is very unprofessional about casting ("oh god I'm so bad at this"). I'm ok with Zenon/Joe Joe Miller Miller because, while they aren't very insightful, Zenon knows a lot about the European scene and they both observe the game decently (contrary to "Oh, he missed a last hit, that is so bad. OH, SORRY, I MISSED FIRST BLOOD"). And that englishman accent, oh god. Lets hope our 5HITCOMBO/ZERG_RUSSIAN get his thing going and comes out as a decent caster.
Phreak is funny though. I think if someone good was commentating and observing, and Phreak was just there doing no analysis or controlling of the camera, it could work.
I'd only want Saint to cast if he was drunk. Drunkvicious stream was endlessly entertaining.
I found Zenon and Joe Joe Miller Miller to be a fine casting duo, Phreak and Riv the 3rd not so much :\
