Riot making themselves the laughing stock of competitive gaming as usual. I really want the game to succeed but shit like this is happening way too much for organizers to take LoL seriously.

I can't realize I would one day say Blizzard did a good job with SC2's online system.
Managing to do worst than Bnet 0.2 amazes me.

All this stuff is just a tad bit harder than you all are making it out to be... That said though, I hope people do realize how decent BNet 2.0 is. I keep hoping LoL will avoid issues like these in the future but... alas. I would be more empathetic if they weren't spending 2 mil on season 2 lol

The problem is that LoL has been having these problems for months now.

Plus it should be pretty obvious by now that 0 testing has happend since this problem would have been found in the very first game they tried to start. But hey riot has only fucked up on every other tournament held before right?

Edit: After some digging, I found this:

[15:06] The League of Legends tournament will be suspended for today, Sunday the 2nd. We will continue working on a solution to fix the current problems and plan to start the tournament tomorrow at 10AM with both groups being played in one day.

Welp, good thing I went to bed.

T_T Riot, this is so sad. The LoL stream from this event had like 4 times the viewers of the SC2 stream for several hours even when there wasn't a damned thing being shown! The interest is there, people really want to watch your game. The servers are just failing up a storm T_T

They keep halfassing observer mode because they just throw pieces of code together for a temporary solution (the shit you see failing in tournaments) while they rush to get the final product done.

That had the good obs mode at dreamhack didnt they?
I kinda remember that working decently at the time so what havnt they used it since?

And no this wont be a motivation for them to fix obs mode since it didnt help them fix it when the exact same problem happend 1 month ago during mlg.

I think the problem is that the client is so well coded against maphacks that you normally have no information on the whereabouts of your opponents, therefore their quick and dirty obs mode has to be quite a deep hack.

They have to remake the game from scratch it seems XD
