I’m disappointed with this patch. I think there was a lot of very strong stuff that was left too strong. I’d have liked to see Kai Sa nerfs and maybe Kench nerfs.

He got nerfs but yeah would've liked some Kai'sa nerfs. Feel like Akali, Aatrox and Irelia are still strong as well. Some good buffs to my champion pool though. YAY ELISE! Now we just need Reksai buffs and the road to challenger is arrive.
This patch in a nutshell: "We're buffing champions that can lead to more exciting games for the casual viewer. .... Oh and Janna for no appearent reason."
Not that I think it's bad. But the Janna buff is pretty confusing in the context of what they are trying to accomplish.
Without Janna, interesting isn't really interesting. Its what the NFL keeps failing to learn with its rule changes. If you cant be concussed going over the middle, going over the middle isn't impressive.

LPL playoffs were on the prior patch and Kai Sa was pick ban basically every game. If someone is near 100% pick ban in strongest region then the champ is too strong. (And since RNG won MSI I get to call the LPL strongest region until KT wins worlds)

The LPL playoffs were on patch 8.16. Kai'Sa was nerfed in patch 8.18.

Now I secretly hope Uzi pops off in the final game on a Shen+Gragas+Lulu+Kog+Janna comp. Gragas might be too flashy hmmmmm, jungle Cho?
That or a "never fight" 1-3-1 comp splitting to win.

1 team being the best doesnt make up for all the other teams being trash. lck is still the stronger region
Looks like something very similar. The whole runes reforged thing was so dumb in the first place. They basically changed it with the justification that not many people did tinkering instead of just making runes free to fix that issue. Now we stuck with the new runes that just go through cycle of nerfs 24/7.
There are so many champions in the game (and many items) that the idea that we need pre-game customization is kinda silly. Just triple the number of Doran's items and it will be much easier.
