I just want to know who they tried out with xpecial. Obviously Piglet was given Smoothie but I can't think of any real LCS tier adc's xpecial would have tried out with the past week or so.

Freeze and Forgiven are the only real Western LCS ADCs worth anything atm. So unless TL made them tank ping or TL themselves tanked ping they tried out no one worth mentioning.

I get the feeling how much piglet likes you is correlated with how good you play. Xpecial was doing some pretty derpy shit second half of the year and many people here were calling him out for those mistakes so I can only imagine the internal discussions about it. Moreover Piglet was regularly showing up and carrying a lot of games. Choosing Piglet over Xpecial is the right call imo, sucks for Xpecial though and I hope he finds a good team.

I feel like this is probably the most hilarious outcome, because its assures that TL will continue to be bad* for quite a while. Piglet is overpaid and the team goes out of its way to cater to him, and he does nothing most of the time anyways.

*Where bad is defined as not making worlds, not winning playoffs.

Piglet was definitely playing very well in the last few weeks of the split. Even in playoffs he was pulling his weight. Admittedly at the start of the year this was not the case, but as the season progressed Piglet was playing better and better.

smoothie I think is the step in the right direction (he seems promising and had good communication from what I saw) but he's still smoothie, a player with lots to prove and probably not enough impact to change the team around. Now we need a jungler that can make good calls and a good coach.

Precisely. Hopefully the new coach is good and the shotcalling is made a priority (or moon is groomed into that position).
