As I've previously mentioned I turn smartcatsts on/off depending on champions and items, but having same item on same key is a huge deal for me. Also I hate holding shift so I actually bound my "smartcast" attack move to A, but I never had problem wtih holding alt to selfcast :p

If a nidalee spear or blitz hook or something comes out of a bush right as i'm placing a ward, getting my hand into position to alt+e before it hits is unlikely, whereas just instinctively hitting t has healed/morg shielded/whatever'd me out of countless hooks/spears/ez ults I actually tried replacing alt with t at one point, so t + q/w/e/r was self cast, felt ok (and more utility for champs like lissandra too) but was still too slow imo I just have qwer all on smartcast, with shift + qwer normal cast. Serves me well enough, and I just never play rumble ^^

I surprised people don't use the target champions key more. That's my most favourite key. I have it bound to my mouse I love it so much. It's good for targeted spells, autos, and jungle monster positioning.

1 Wards and only wards 2 Pots/Flask early, Tear item or Botrk late 3 Randuin's, Zhonya's, Face 4 Hydra/Tiamat, or pinks if non-Hydra user I smartcast ~ and 1-3. I use V for target-champions-only because it is directly above where I naturally rest my thumb on spacebar for center-on-champion, so moving the thumb up to hit V is super easy. On February 20 2015 02:38 Eiii wrote: I find that having smartcast on by default while putting dumbcast on alt-qwer is a pretty good solution for me. Easy access to dumbcasting for line aiming/looking at the range of spells that's consistent across all champs. I do the same, except I put dumbcast on shift-qwer and keep alt-qwer for self-casting.

I mean not any of the actives but I'm always having boots on my 2nd slot, even if I'm 6-slotted I always need to have boots in 2nd slot. yes; listed in order of importance: Boots always go in #6 no exceptions (unless I'm not buying boots that game). Actives go in first few slots. I still hover my hands over numbers instead of qwer or homerow because of RTS mechanics, which is pretty sub-optimal for league I guess. LowCD > HighCD > SS > Pots > Wards. Empty spaces stay adjacent or diagonally opposite (3/4). Items with stacks or cooldowns (RoA, Tear, Sheen, etc.) go in top-right corner (3). If I have multiple then 3>2>4>1>5>6 (except mobos). If I have two of the same item (ie double dorans) then they go beside each other next to the boots (4/5), or beside each other in the first row (2/3 > 1/2). Similar items (Ruby/Sapphire crystals, faerie charm / rejuv bead, different dorans items, etc.) stay together when able as well, but have less priority. If I have two major items complete then I like to put them diagonally opposite each other (3/4), position depending on which way the icon has the item leaning, and sometimes depending on colour. Keep ingredients for the same item aligned or in some kind of pattern if able. Adjacency (including the use of empty spaces) adjusted by colour. I make liberal use of the item icon duplication glitch in ARAMs. Keep completed / major items aligned (boots occupy a liminal space and codeswitch depending on other items) if able. I don't buy items that I can't fit into my scheme. This obviously affects my winrate and champ pool but I'm playing a different game so w/e. Example scenario: I have, in order: DRG (rip), mana pots, dorans shield, dorans ring, dorans ring, boots. If I want to buy a RoA (one piece) then I should sell my mana pots and get it. I can't do that. I have to sell the dorans shield (it can't go in slot 2) to make room for the RoA. If I'm two-piecing it, then I have no problem selling the pots and shield for either cata/wand or ruby/sapphire, or keeping the pots/shield and selling the two rings to make room instead. I could also keep 1 ring and move it to where the shield was (3), and have the RoA pieces in 4/5. EDIT: it also depends upon the patch, making this on-topic

Keep in mind that the constellations are similar to the ones that appear on the Rift in this patch or the next one. I know Dota 2 has a hero called the Oracle who seems to have a similar star-related image/theme, could this be Riot's version of it? Or is that closer to Zilean?

I know Dota 2 has a hero called the Oracle who seems to have a similar star-related image/theme, could this be Riot's version of it? Or is that closer to Zilean? Given that it's depicted in the teaser as a downward facing triangle, it immediately makes me recall the Summer Triangle. Things to note: The teaser was released on the Chinese new year and the dress of the people in the teaser looks Ionian. the summer triangle is also used in a Chinese folk tale. Maybe some of posters more versed in Chinese folk lore(as in, knows anything about it) could extrapolate some theories of how this could tie into the character? e. Things like this are why Riven has the highest skillcap of League champions. 3+ years later and still new ATs.
