I still think that a thread to keep track of all the posted threads, so to say, would be useful because there is a pretty good chance that once in a while you will miss one. Also if for some reason you don't have internet for a while, finding what happened in the meantime can be a real pain. That's why I think it would be useful in conjunction with Community News. How about an updated thread in General that contains all the thread links (if the threads are legit) by date, with main threads like GD or QQ Therapy pinned at the top of that thread in it?
Basically, so you would know of any relevant articles or news in X month on X date. Would be fairly easy to operate and update overall, and then go back to check if you missed any or want to quickly refind older articles.

With old thread, I could just subscribe to it and have my daily fix of league news in one place - now I'll have to check all the new threads and clutter my "subscribed" folder with them. Plus there will be either a lot of stuff that won't get posted here because it'll feel not relevant enough or we'll have a lot of 0-2 post threads. Honestly, lately Pro Evo wasn't just news, it was discussion as well. If we just keep the news there it would be great though, and not too flooded. Isn't discussion what this thread is for? It was never intended to be discussion though. I closed it because we want to have every news/announcement separate so that we are able to make a "community news" out of it. Similar to Teamliquid.net What about very smaller news stories though, won't they quickly get buried within a few hours by ongoing (and now incredibly separated) discussions between 2-3 people in the individual news threads? They probably won't get posted, seeing how it goes in the SC2 section.

WTF we have our own website now ? But how can we keep complaining about how neglected we feel and shit ?

I guess a lot of the team/player specific stuff could get posted in the Player & Team threads. Although hard to say if anyone cares enough to check those threads. Yeah meh maybe I'm just being stuck in my old ways. Still flying my banner for a off season rumors/speculation thread.

Then again it would also overlap with speculation in team discussion threads. In the end is just a question of forum activity. In Dota forums individual team threads work quite well, but they also have higher forum population. Here it might or might not work, guess we will just have to wait and see.
Population of this forum might also grow now and make the format viable.

Real talk with Roffles and other Roffles.

Also Chexx keeps repeating that "long discussion wasn't the purpose of the thread", so does that mean we can just create a thread with the purpose of ongoing discussion about league news and he won't close it?

Not speaking for Chexx personally, but LiquidLegends is still trying to figure out how best to handle the transition to a full site and forum. Will be deciding how to handle different threads over the next few days.

now that liquid has a team, how much is promotional stuff for other teams going to be squashed?
ie if i make a post about our rebrand here, is it going to get deleted now?

Real talk with Roffles and other Roffles. at least 75% of the sentences used during that podcast will include at least 3 of the following words: "AIDS", "cancer", "chemo", "Euro(s)", and "fucking", in no particular order.

ie if i make a post about our rebrand here, is it going to get deleted now? Highly doubt they'll do something like that. Eg. in LiquidHearth they interview MagicAmy who just made it onto a rival HS team, etc.
At worst, it won't be featured; doubt that though if it's big news and if they can get something exlusive they'd probably feature it in a heartbeat. I have faith in the new TL mods.
Even if BearMoon is still dear in my heart.

Is there any place that I can see League's average players over the years. I mostly want to see how other games affect League's numbers, most recent example would be Warlords. Don't know if this exists but I figured I would ask here.

When has TL ever done anything of the sort? As far as I'm aware there are no such plans in place whatsoever.

If you have two overlapping threads you likely just end up with the same arguments/discussions happening in both threads simultaneously, which just leads to people having to repeat themselves and frustration.
If there is a sudden massive boost in new users it'll be very interesting to see how the discourse on the site changes. Forums of this design (all posts ordered and weighted equally) were always better suited to smaller communities, and if there were to suddenly be, say, a thousand new active posters (and that's a 20th of the number of people currently browsing r/lol) then it would likely get completely impossible to follow any discussion in a major thread.

Teamliquidpro is the official team site. TL, and it's articles/writing staff etc, are detached from the Teamliquid entity. (Or at least that's how it works for the other games ^^)

Podcasts are cool, I like podcasts. Roffless pls.

I'm pretty sure the rebranding of TL Pro from TL.net was to reinforce the idea that TL.net is a community site still
