Edit: I mean so long as you don't already have a job. Their qualification list isn't high though the responsiblities they're asking seem a bit high considering what they want the other two doing. I mean. If you're already in that field for 2 years, you're probably already getting paid more to do a lot less. Then again liquid112 gave up a lot of money to be with curse when he first joined on as manager, and now he's the owner of the esports division of curse.

Clg is either not going to find anyone or are going to hire an unqualified wide eyed fool having no idea what they are walking into. They want to pay a qualified ceo data entry monies.

They probably don't have the money for it, that's why they're trying to leverage their shit pay with the Esports DREAM.

It wouldn't be a bad job to take as an insane resume booster if you don't mind shooting yourself in the foot for a couple of years. If you could successfully fulfill the responsibilities it'd look really favorably if you applied for a much higher paying position later on. But that's a lot of "if's". Not worth imo.

Yea, i just looked at the qualifications list they asked for, not the responsibilities.

Not worth imo. thats kind of why i think they'd be better served dropping 10 grand more a year on a second person to split the work. give them both high level experience in the field out of college and paying them livable amounts. with that kind of thing on you resume you could skip a few rungs on the corporate ladder afterwards.

I kinda agree with this. You could probably get two college grads with a year of relevant experience each for 50-60k who are willing to bust their ass for you in exchange for the experience.

Especially since it's more a short term endeavor, esports moving so fast, and the stability isn't as guaranteed, it won't be so bad for those who are new to the market, and don't have much to lose.

But maybe you'll also get paid in CLG equity, in which case your premium is 50-100k of forgone salary for the opportunity to get millions.

No one is surprised at the fact CLG can't actually afford to pay market value, I think we're more surprised that they'd be this far off the mark. And the listing never listed any profit sharing deals either EDIT: NVM, it says "bonus structure", but that's not very clear. Also doesn't mention health or dental plans, nor does it mention any 401k programs, all of which are offered by companies looking for candidates of similar pre-reqs.

That's like...straight out of undergrad pay scale. People with that level of experience will be willing to join startups for low pay if they believe that said startup will lead to bigger and better things. As much as Esports is growing, the risk is still extremely high and most likely not worth it. On top of that, CLG isn't exactly a new startup anymore. They've been around for at least 4 years and if this is all they can offer after four years, it doesn't speak well to their growth/past management.

If they just called the position CFO, more people would be willing to work for the weak pay for the nice Resume boosting title. "CFO of one of the leading esports brand in the West".
