Alright, we're going to call it a day with all the Thorin drama, guys. I figured if it was about SI, onGamers, TSM, etc, it had some relevance to League but somehow you guys managed to devolve the discussion into an issue about race of all things.
Enough is enough. Let's move along now.

I really don't 't think his tone changed at all; the tweets are not even addressing the same subject so even if his tone did change what relevance does that even have and what is the point of bringing it up in the first place? It wasn't his place to publicly criticize his co-host and address the issue of flaming in an out of game context at that time but the public statement did allow him to offer his opinion on that aspect of the show without creating conflict between hosts.
I do not think Monte's opinion on his desired direction of the show has changed after this incident. He generally tries to steer off-basis conversation in a relevant direction from what I've seen.

You're Ugly. oh sorry i shouldn't say that, it's not your fault you're ugly, you have no control over that. that's how the apology comes off. you don't add the extra lines about control if you want an apology to have no backlash. i don't think it was intentional, but it comes off very dickish. No, the people attacking him are. When I watched the show I saw the "offensive" part, and thought to myself, people are going to feign outrage about this. I never thought, that thoron was racist, so I was rational, and never offended. Like I said, you need to be looking for third tier "code words" to think he is, which the is, of course, a goal for some people: to be offended. i dont think people call Asians monkeys, so i think he was making a more appearance based insult(which is partially true to be fair, not to offend). But calling him racist is pretty dumb imo. They don't, in America/Europe its an insult traditionally reserved for those of African descent. The internet loves to be offended though, so we get this. And I am traditionally a tsm defender, because they are traditionally not with attacking. You are incorrect. Throughout history, comparing non Caucasians to animals has been quite prevalent. However, I don't think there was any racial intent on Thorin's part so I think this whole thing was blown way out of proportion. To me, the apology statement looked fine, both parties should move on so we can get some good SI episodes and TSM interviews. I doubt we'll see any TSM interviews regardless. The original intention for not doing interviews was because TSM wanted to focus on improving and staying away from media. This was Locodoco's idea, not Regi. Imo, this makes good sense since the last thing TSM needs is their players/team getting demoralized by media. We've all seen how reddit, FB, twitter, etc... can fuck up players and teams into performing even worse. The blacklisting of onGamers came as a result of the SI episode with Thorin's really unprofessional remark along with Regi's assumption that Travis told Thorin/Monte to bash him/TSM on SI (which according to Travis was untrue).I also think Thorin's apology is a good place to start to fix bridges, even if it could be a mite inflammatory. They were blacklisted before that though...?

Honestly, Monte and Thorin can harp on all they want about creating a non PR, "real talk" talk show. But the fact of the matter is, if they continue to attack teams and those involved in those organizations the way they have been in recent shows, esports will end up going the way real sports do. With pro players and organizations never really interacting with the community outside of controlled, PR situations.

So, I've just read somewhere that they moved servers to Amsterdam ? And it's actually working pretty faster than it did before but I had no comparizon, because it was late at night and there weren't that many people logged in.
Also the new match history update seems cool - http://euw.leagueoflegends.com/en/news/game-updates/features/announcing-new-match-history-beta
Our goal is to deliver robust, intricate details about your previous matches in an accessible, intuitive interface that allows you to share game histories with your friends. We’re making more of your games visible, not just your last 10. We’re expanding the end-of-game information, using graphs and heat maps to display dragon kills, gold-per-minute, death locations and more. And now you can share links to your match history across all of your favorite social channels.
Related to sharing, there is one aspect of the new match history we want to dive into deeper. We believe ranked play is the highest sphere of competition. Players opt in to ranked play to measure their skill in an amped-up competitive environment, and the focus is much more on winning. In order to maintain that legitimacy, we believe that ranked game stats should be open knowledge, so unlike match histories for normal queue games, ranked games will be publically available.
Seems awesome !

Cuz Monte and Thorin also praise a fuckton of teams, and players. People are too fucking easy to harp on the supposed "hate" they give, when in reality it's pretty fucking accurate assessment. It's like they said in SI, if they were talking out our asses, and a proplayer or someone calls them out on it, Monte and Thorin end up looking like fucking idiots. But, guess what? They ain't half bad at what they do.
Also, let's look at it this way. Week after week Thorin constantly gives CLG shit, right in front of Monte. Guess what the fuck Monte does? He fucking eats it like man, and tells his side of the story, guess what the fuck happens? A lot more sympathy for CLG and Monte. Thorin also mentioned that he or ongamers can't even contact regi to discuss terms of the blackwall, how fucking silly is that? like how salty do you have to be to pull that level of shit?

It seems like you get a lot of drunk / stoned people playing which can be pretty entertaining. I'd say that less than 5% of my games at that time had serious ragers, it was actually a pretty pleasant experience most of the time.
the transition from friday night ~1-4 AM PST to saturday morning on the east coast is pretty sharp, if you ever care to try that experiment.

They're just using the "free speech" and "saying it like it is" argument to bash/insult people because it attracts viewers. They are nothing else but businessmen. Bashing = drama = viewers = money. Then they get all butt-hurt when finally someone like Regi tries to draw a line.
Kids like Thoorin need to be stopped somewhere, if you don't stop them they will continue and eventually insult a whole country when they're supposed to be casting a tournament in said country (hello IEM poland, seems like he didn't learn anything from it though).

I've never been a big fan of Regi, but what I've seen of Thorin makes me think that guy shouldn't be anywhere near a talk show or an interview.

Yeah, they shouldn't call out team for throwing massive leads, or analyzing roster swaps. nope. not at all. To make it fair, they also shouldn't be allowed to praise teams either. Nope, not at all.

You're putting words in my mouth wei2mixeverythingupman. They can analyse roster swaps and throws as much as they want, If they only did this no one would be upset. Fact is, it's not the only thing they do.
I'll give you an example since you seem to have troubles understanding. DISCLAIMER : they didn't actually say what I'm going to write
I'm fine with Thoorin and/or Monte saying that snoopeh should retire because his performance is awful and EG needs younger talent. I'm not fine with them saying that reginald (or any other person) is a damn monkey that should go back to the zoo and let a real human being coach TSM. Well they could say it if they were in a private setting, but they are not, they're broadcasting on an open platform and their goal is to be watched as much as possible.
Can you understand the difference or do I need to paint a picture for you ?

Can you understand the difference or do I need to paint a picture for you ? Yes, and thorin apologized for it, and it's been said it'll be adjusted. And compared to the rest of SI, that's like .01% of their content.
also, let it be known. Curse is also blackwalling media, difference is there's no shitstorm with ongamers because they don't make some bs excuse about Thorin's SI.

To be fair, a lot of his knowledge of the situation was given to him by a clearly angry Thorin, so it was a little misconstrued (although he totally should have taken the time to get a better grasp of the reason Regi was leaving before typing out asinine tweets) I also find it kinda funny how Monte went off like that considering Hotshot was actually backing Regi (or at the very least being very sympathetic to Regi's side) on his stream when this shit all went down. They were blacklisted before that though...? Thought it was just a no more interviews thing. At the very least, there wasn't that much animosity between TSM and onGamers until after that SI episode. Personally, I think it's very understandable that Regi/Loco would want TSM to avoid media contact at least until they start performing better. Then make it about the fact that your team is under performing and you rather avoid media contact, rather than about Thorin and Monte criticizing teams, and that's why you're blackwalling Travis, who fucking asks ez as fuck questions that require half a fucking brain to answer. Even a s3 DL could answer Travis's questions without coming out of it behind. According to Regi's vlog response, that's exactly what it was about. He supposedly told Travis they wanted to avoid media contact thus no more interviews. This seems to be corroborated by Travis's reddit posts. Then Thorin went on SI and did his thing, Regi got justifiably butthurt and also incorrectly thought Travis was the one who told Thorin to do so. Shit just escalated from there. Personally I think avoiding all interviews is a bit much, but after this fiasco I'm not surprised. Besides, it's not the first time something stupid Thorin did caused such backlash. C9 also blacklisted Thorin and I also can't remember the last time they did an interview. Crs is also apparently avoiding Reddit/Twitter now; dunno bout interviews (doubt it). Yeah, you see though, this is bullshit. I have no problem with them criticizing teams. I have a problem with them making attacks on teams or players on things other than their ability to play the game or to bash a team/player without backing it up, which Thorin has done time and again.
Note how in most of my posts I only talk about Thorin. When Monte bashes a team, he does so on their ability to play a game and backs it up with good, reasoned arguments. When Thorin attacks someone, a good portion of the time it's inflammatory bullshit.

The issue of whether Thorin called Reginald an ape is irrelevant to the blacklist discussion, as it only occurred after the blacklist, the decision to initially blacklist was influenced by absolutely zero use of the word 'ape'. Furthermore Thoorin meant ape not in a racist way but rather as a insult to Reginald's appearance. Fuck, even in the Chinese lol scene Reginald is referred as 猩猩队长 meaning Captain Ape or Captain Gorilla, are you saying the chinese are racist against asians including themselves?

This isn't the first time thorin was left wishing he hadn't said something. His personality is not suited for a show like SI. He's suited for a TMZ style coverage of LoL. Something like SI needs the PTI model for their personalities, that show has almost perfected the rapid news coverage and criticism/opinions.
