Obviously I'll edit in any more rumors/official changes as they are posted.
Haven't seen any concrete evidence or even 2nd/3rd hand stuff, but I remember Link saying he put off college for season 3, can definitely see him going to school and leaving CLG for season 4. I just hope CLG don't do something really silly like Hotshot mid (YOU NEVER KNOW).

Wasn't the EU LCS Super team just a bad journalist with a very creative imagination? They keep denying it, though anything is possible.
Are teams that has to play in relegations allowed to change their line-up prior to the matches?
|
i hope there is some kind of regulation about that, it would be really easy for a big organization to hire a tournament winning team for a week for relegations, then go back to a roster of popular streamers or whatnot

Lmao, it was by Richard Lewis. I like his stuff more often than not, but you have to take it with a grain of salt.

I hope coast stays together, not enough bm in NA LCS otherwise. They are very good individually and are so close to being a top team.

That super team is not going to happen lol. It just makes no sense all around and there is next to no real proof for it.

I dont like that it is called super team, because the players mentioned there are not leagues above others or anything. But there have been quite a few indicators that a team of that sort could happen, other then that Lewis article. There is also no denial anywhere. It might very well be true.
In any case there will be a lot of shuffling. Makes a lot of sense to make this thread, interesting things ahead.

Indicators, nawww. The only real evidence they have of them actually doing anything together is their 2 am troll games with 5 bruisers.

I am extremely burnt out from playing 2 and a half years straight without much of a break. I think taking a split off and seeing how coaching works out will be really good. After working with the new players during the tryouts I think the new curse line up has a lot of promise.
I may come back next split I have talked with a lot of players about it but I want to see how I like coaching first. For now though I will pry stream every position in solo q more often than jungle to get a feel for everything more. I am really liking ADC at the moment.

As long as Voyboy is on that team Curse will have no chance. Scarra and Saint stepping down is a good thing, even though I'm sad to see both of them go, but Voyboy simply doesn't have champs that don't a-move into 5 people to win.
Also, Pobelter is a very mature person for his age and a BEAST in lane.
[edit]Oh shit sorry I was totally confusing the two, grad school is getting to me. Wait, that means Jacky is gone. NOOOOOOO. [/edit]

No, Voyboy teaches people how to top lane! When to use potions etc!
|
Isn't Pobelter like 3 years away from being of age? If not then he's definitely the best mid available. I've always thought Zekent can't really support and hides that by going AP Janna. Didn't know IWD still played.

I love the blurb about IWD, "sitting on the sidelines" yeah I wonder why...

I thought this stuff was exactly why THIS thread was started.
|
I feel like this thread is appropriate for this time of year, seeing as we are expecting at least one change from almost every LCS team, but right now the crs roster is being discussed in GD, PSE, This and the Crs thread itself, so some guidance would be nice.

I thought the same thing so I got the ok from Neo before I started this. The 'pro scene evolution' thread also has 52 pages in nearly two years of posting, and it is also meant to cover more than just NA/EU transfers.
|
The new LoLPro team is really interesting, does this mean Curse knows something we don't and Riot will allow organisations to have more than one team?
|
I thought it was understood that next season the limit was going to be lifted? At least I have seen a lot of talk like it's a done thing including rumours about TSM and C9 partnering up at one point (though that was debunked I believe)

Found this "leaked" graphic on reddit explaining all the changes in EU:

Anyhow lol @ Yellowpete. Rekkles worth 100k and he's 5k

It seems like it's all speculation and rumor but I think it sounds pretty plausible. EG has the money and the team they have now is not a world contender. Froggen is like the only world class player on EG roster currently.

I see. I still don't quite understand who made this graphic? Is it clear that it's a "joke" that it says "BY: EVIL GENIUSES MANAGEMENT", or is it actually supposed to be a leaked document that they sent around to the organizations?
|
yea I can't think of any reason for this Graphic to exist other than to be "Leaked"

Considering that rekkles isn't even a part of copenhagen pups, he wears fnatic uniform to lans with them does that graphic mean fnatic is paying themselves 100k?

Well you know how we are. Germans and humour has never gone so smoothly.

To some, the new Curse may be unrecognizable from what it has been thus far.
To me, the essence of Curse was preserved; with Voyboy still in the team and Aphromoo joining, they'll still be ex-CLG :p

CLG and C9 to IEM Cologne, guess we'll know soon if CLG are making changes. Updated op with some info will do the rest later on, sorry I've been a bit lax with updates

When is IEM Cologne? I'm excited to see CLG possible changes and to see C9 play again.

What I find interesting is that Froggen lost two games in his placement series on his smurf. Silver 2 scrub...

Maybe we can continue the discussion from the Pro Scene Evolution thread here:

I don't understand why only Snoopeh and Krepo would go in that case, and why on earth is Nyph there, wickd, yellowpete, and froggen didn't even mention going. Might be Riot consulting pro players regarding the support and jungler changes for s4 they are working on atm. Didnt want to participate in this speculation, but in that case it would be even more important stuff than roster changes. Why bring them back after they were already there? Krepo and Snoopeh both visited the EG house and Riot when they were in America. Who knows? Maybe they were not at that point of the development 2 weeks ago. Of course it could also be promotion stuff for Riot or whatever. In any case it is unlikely that it is related to roster changes becasue Nyph went as well and he already said he plays for SK next season with CandyPanda.
|
could be as benien as s4 play testing. they brought in international players for it last year.
|
NiP are right now playing the ASUS RoG qualfier. They play with full line-up except for Freeze, who is replaced by Mr Rallez. Further confirmation that Freeze will leave the team (basically left already).
|
|
I was a sure as you could possibly be based on 0 information, it's identical to the timing of the s3 changes play testing in which they brought in a lot of international players.
back when we heard the tales of saints Jungle GP outgolding everything... that really panned out.
|
considering how bad the two "preseason" patches were balance wise, I hope they "drafted" different players this year :D
Another month of league of Warmogs or similar stupid shit might be hilarious but I'd prefer a reasonably balanced S4

Anyone else get the feeling that Dig might be waiting to see if Curse make it out of relegations before they pick up their top laner?

Ocelote building a new team?
http://www.reddit.com/r/leagueoflegends/comments/1p1gdb/ocelote_leaving_sk/
Especially interesting is this picture of a Skype conversation:
http://i.imgur.com/bmOS3ql.jpg
So it seems like it was indeed true that Ocelote had very good offers. Based on that I would say SK got too small for him, not that they didnt want him anymore.
What I hate about it is that his conversation partner there alludes to the possibility of just buying their way into LCS. This touches right on what I always critisized most about LCS, namely that only the organisations have the rights to the LCS spots and can exchange their players for new ones as they please. That basically means whole teams can be exchanged at any time. Qualifying for LCS doesnt mean you can actually stay there, if your manager decides someone else should have your spot.
What I never understood is that the LoL community never seemed to have a problem with this, not even on TL where people are usually more critical. Maybe it needs an incident like Ocelote buying his way into LCS with a new team for people to finally get it.
|
People were critical I thought it's just that Riot isn't transparent about anything LCS and seem to have the ability to change anything mid season when they want so not not much anyone can do or say.
|
Well that's what happened with CW & NiP and people didn't really mind.. I don't see it being a problem because if you're bad you'll drop off LCS anyway (that may be less true with the new system but still..). Look at SK they had great players (Kevin hyrqbot and Nyph) and played together for a long time but they still failed, I don't see how Ocelote + 4 random dudes will make it. Except if he buys people from other team.. oh well
|

As it stands now, we could have one team beat another in the LCS qualifier (lets say TCM beats SK). And then the manager of the qualfying team decides that his players are not good or popular enough or whatever and replaces them with the SK players.
The ultimate problem is that qualifying to LCS doesnt get you anything. After qualifying you are forced to choose a manager and that moment you lose all your LCS rights and transfer them to that manager. If he doesnt like you, you are out then. I think tournament participation should be determined by success in the game, not by considerations of some manager.

I would not take back anyone who used to be on the team except Bloodwater(If he even counts being on the team, was a sub for main team and on clg black), Elementz sucks, Aphro/Loco not good supports and are a lot better at ADC. Anyways I hope CLG picks up Tabe, would be awesome seeing Dlift+Tabe, main reason Tabe retired was cause China players got paid shit but he would get a lot better salary in NA + streaming moneys plus he loves Dlift, doubt it will happen though. 3 hours ago CLG did ranked 5s with Trickz and Aphro, I think Trickz is alright but still don't like Aphro support
|
Aphromoo has been playing a fair amount of support, so it could certainly be him. Nydushermain would be my choice, but Aphromoo is a pretty good support, and he was probably better than Chauster overall.
I wonder who they are going to get for the jungle? Jungle isn't exactly a deep position in NA and probably the best unsigned jungler was probably Ninjaken who is now subbing for TSM.
