There were parts I like and parts I don't like from each time period. I like the balance now even though everyone always complains about the new op/up champ is while I loved back in the day, there was no real meta. People just played what they wanted where they wanted and basically anything could work. Now if you tried that, you would get nothing but hate for playign Heimer Yi bot lane no matter how well you do. My 2 cents on the matter... LoL is definitely better now than it was 2 years ago, for me personally. The decrease in leavers and better networks are worth the more boring jungle. There's a filter on TLGD, you actually physically can't post unless you're at least Platinum.

This first poll (which I still think is interesting) may not have been the most nuanced or able to gauge the state of the game. (I mean, polls can't ever do that, but still this is a forum). Poll: Do you think that LoL is worse than when you started playing? No (52) Yes (7) 59 total votes Your vote: Do you think that LoL is worse than when you started playing? Let me try these instead for comparison. Poll: Do you think LoL is the best that it has ever been? No (18) Yes (10) 28 total votes Your vote: Do you think LoL is the best that it has ever been? And... Poll: Do you think LoL is headed in a positive direction? Yes (18) No (13) 31 total votes Your vote: Do you think LoL is headed in a positive direction? I personally think yes to both, but (again) I'm a relatively latecomer and I'm optimistic about new things that I haven't seen. I'm a bit wary of the reasoning behind some of the S4 changes for sure, but definitely not ready to be a full-on naysayer. But that's just me.

And the admins personally filtered people ig to let them post on that forum. But every1 could read the open forums. Just as an experiment, I wonder what would happen. ol school high elo vent/chat channels but forum style. With a lot of value for lower lvl players. We've had this discussion before. tl;dr - it's really not going to work. I don't mean to be so blunt, but this line of thought gets gross.

With a lot of value for lower lvl players. not diamond V, needs to be diamond IV, due to being not able to drop out of V divisions. You could be a 100% bad player and still somehow be at diamond V

Personally I think if the cap was higher, like at d1, it would just be a place where pro interviews of their thoughts on the game are compiled together. Because the content would be pretty similar without much deviation.

There's not some magical cult of high Elo players that can't stand posting among lowbies because fo the idiocy.

Even google searching champion guides, you see a lot of content that's not good, and might be untrustworthy. But if you had a place that had consistent good advice, articles, and guides from people dedicated to helping others,(cuz let's face it, pros are busy and slow on updating their guides), then wouldn't it be better for everyone. Btw, I don't mean for any of this to be on TL. TL doesn't have enough good players to split this subforum up.
