This, like a fed poppy, is something ive never faced. Like, what does a fed AP sion even do? Isn't he just kind of a high-damage taric with no utility?

Yeah, basically. There's not really much more to it than what you read on the abilities, you use your spells and don't let them pop your shield before the delay is gone and that's the hero.

What? Putting the 1st and 2nd EU teams in different brackets is about as favorable as you can get, and putting the 3rd place team with the 1st is fine.

No they can't, the division I promo artificially clamps your LP gains to prevent this
You'd have to have a lucky streak of like 20 games and win the promo if you were legitimately silver 3 or something

Went 0-3 in the first Plat promo, won 3 games in a row (hue timing), back into promos, another 0-3 with my net crapping a game and a troll another one later, I've went LWWW and I'm only at 75, most likely needing 3+ other wins in a row if I want to hit the 3rd promo series.
It really doesn't let you go up with a "lucky streak" unless your Elo gets way higher than the threshold.

I can see 3 EU teams going to the brackets with the groups. Fnatic/GMB both got a good chance to win vs Ozone.

"slipped through" the other wildcard teams really all got some weaknesses and big ego's. Its pretty sad that a "top15" team in EU can win a wildcard tourney and that other regions are still far behind the current top scene's.

Irrelevent to me whether EU team #15 is better than restoftheworld #1. The whole tournament just feels less international and more Europe + NA lose to the Asians.
edit: hell the top Europeans are only there for the sake of variety anyway. If we based attendance solely on skill it'd be like 11 Korean teams and maybe a couple other Asian teams.

what's sad is that the best Brazilian team can't beat a team worse than all 8 of EU lcs and prob not even as good as some EUW challenger teams.
