Anyway, I used to like TL LoL a lot but lately it's becoming too flooded. As a high(er)-level player, the majority of normal posts are like shitposts to me. I enjoy posts from certain people immensely (TheYango, for example) but having to sift through 99% inane posts just to find 1 or 2 quality ones is becoming more and more tiresome. Admittedly, I don't contribute a lot, but when I do I feel it's underappreciated due to the disparity in understanding. Take for example, this post from earlier (not mine)

It would probably punish Doran's Blade with Lifesteal Quints into straight BF Sword, but I wonder how well it would do against an early Vamp Scepter.
I like this post, and think it warrants discussion. Net result? 0 replies. My hope is that having a Diamond+ forum would cut down the volume of posts and up the quality of each, preventing legitimate discussion from being buried by dumb shit. Then again, most people come for the dumb shit so who am I to expect something else...

Well this is a general thread I think it makes sense what the average post is.
On the genja build as an ad main>I think it's bad.The bt>lw on varus/mf/graves I'd say has been standart for a while.
But 3 dorans>bt>ie is just not optimal imo.Generally if you can trade with someone depends a lot on champs not on items that much.Let's say ezreal can't trade with any ad if you just stay in creeps pretty much no matter on items.That's why blue build got really popular.It lets you just afk farm with q and not having to trade.You just all in and try to poke.Imo a better alternative would be bt>zeal and then if noone is getting armor you could get ie.Ie first generally is good if you can do it but very often it's really hard to just go straight up ie without vamp and if you get vamp it takes forever unless you go 5/0 or something.

I would love a Diamond + forum where you have to tie in your summoner name to your TL account to get in. There's been a few times where I just feel like the discussions I am having just don't make sense for either side, because the other person at Silver/Gold/whatever just doesn't have the same (I don't want to say understanding, I'm no pro genius myself) 'experience' that I or another higher ranked player does.
It's not a knock against these players, or I don't mean it to be, it's just that the game is different for people at different skill levels.
I just want to ask what do you guys think on the jungle change?I've tested pretty much every bot lane excluding nami/blitz and you can get golems and at worst lose the gold but not the xp from 2-nd creep in lane.I was pretty sure it'd be like this and it is pretty funny how riot are stupid.Basically now red side has to go stop golems since they can't do wolves and jungler on red has to start red :/.
Why not build attack speed? BT +3x Dblade gives you a ton of sustain, but an equally farmed opponent could have gone, say, Greaves, Doran's BT and a longsword (or if he started longsword +2, he could have 2 longswords and close to a bruta). I'm not 100% sure, but I'm pretty sure the latter would have more DPS.
I've definitely seen people going Dblade into Greaves, but getting 2 Dblades instead is interesting-- definitely more gold efficient, seems reasonable if you expect to stay in lane.
Say you both start Dblade, then back and buy 2 Doran's in addition to your first. The enemy AD picks up a vamp sceptre and some pots instead. So it works out that you're getting 3*5= 15 hp per auto from items (and you have +10 AD and 160 hp), while the enemy ad is getting 5 + maybe 100 AD * 0.1 = 10.
So for 150 more gold you have 160 hp and 10 AD more than the opposing AD. It seems like a decent advantage, kind of comparable to a red pot , though its not a heal on demand which makes it feel a lot less useful. 160 hp is going to let you take one more auto and some random damage from supports and minion agro though.
I've always been a little uncomfortable with buying Doran's items-- just kind of personal preference.

Tried Shyv in the new jungle. New Wit's end felt absurd. Built Wriggles+that but was sort of lost what to build after. I ended up building locket, but think maybe there is better choices.

The problem this build discussion has is that it very quickly gets people into thinking of a build as a pattern that you follow from start to finish, rather than a malleable thing that you shift on every back to match the flow of the game and your needs based on that.

There are two people in this forum that consistently annoy the shit out of me with their shitposting, out of hundreds, i'd say that was coolbeans.
Speaking of which my friend who's new to the game said this is the most challenging issue for him. He doesn't "get" how to build. I plan on just chatting with him on general rules of thumb with synergies with champ kits and enemy composition etc. but wondering if anyone's put together a framework for item buying decisions?
