With LKS, we have a formula that takes your League Points, division, league, and other factors into account to create a numerical value that will lend guidance to your progress throughout the season. My best guess is that they used what they knew about Riot's ELO implementation to do their own seeding it with values from before S3. Based on your match history they then update this MMR. Its like an external ladder. So its a pretty good estimation for your actual MMR (and probably a better predictor of your skill level than Riot's current internal MMR as LoLKing probably uses a smaller K factor). | ||
