There's some truth in your statement, but it isn't the end-all. I enjoy informative players, but really, TOO gives 10 times the advice that wings gives. I remember at the end of s1 before the jungle rework when TOO would have a lot less antics and a lot more telling what he does and why. Less fun, sure, but I learnt so much about jungling from his strream..

People don't watch Chauster because he's an amazingly loud asshole.

Xj9's jungling seems so smooth, always farming, never wasting time from the games I've watched so far. o_o Well, being personally ahead certainly helped.

Didn't mean to start a huge WoD argument, I agree with what everyone says, I just think it's getting brought up far too often these days. But that's okay, I'm gonna hold onto my opinions then.

there are times when i wish i had shurelya's for the active. it's still good. the problem is just the timing of when to get it because there are a lot of good support items and it's hard to choose which one to get. The problem is that its also not as cost-efficient for the stats as it was before. You're giving up a lot more to get it. in S2 for me it was just really timing. i pretty much did phil - HoG - aegis - shurelya's - locket every game. occasionally i'd get shurelya's before aegis depending on how the game was going. and usually you'd get shurelya's at a point in the game when the active was really useful. in a split second when a hero is out of position and you shurelya's initiate... or when your guys are out of position and you shurelya's disengage, it was really useful as you hit that stage of the game. if you got shurelya's too early, you normally wouldn't be able to make much use of it when roaming is limited.
but now in S3 you can just do a number of things... i usually go ruby ss first, but after that... phil? lucky pick? twin shadows? aegis? bulwark? chalice is even legit now. and shard is good when you support a mana-intensive ADC in lane.
each item has a different stage of the game when they're useful, or at least more useful than another item that you could get at that time.
i feel like that's the key reason why i'm not getting shurelya's as often on support... not because of the stats but because of the new items and trying to find out when they work best.

So...
We're already back to Wings sux and GP10 discussion? Is season 3 really that bad?

He generally gives out a lot of useful information. Not being able to see why someone is popular just because you don't like him is silly. Also hotshot isn't better imo. I honestly wish he wasn't so popular because the "WoD is actually bad" circle jerk that has been popping up here from time to time is getting old, shits annoying zz. Don't think anyone is saying he's bad. Just he is whiny and likes to shift blame away from himself. He's still a good player though I don't know man, that one guy said Hotshot was better and if that isn't an insult I don't know what is. Jokes aside you're right, most people just say he's annoying and complains about being camped (which he does). But people keep bringing it up and restating it and it just starting to feel really circle-jerky. How is Hotshot not better? Real competitive experience, higher Elo all seasons, and has heroes that people are forced to ban. What champ would you be so afraid of from Wings that you would have to ban him out? Hell, even Hotshot's attitude is better. Imagine having Wings on your team lololol. Even worse than Hotshot's DROP IT remarks.
I don't understand how HSGG is supposed to be good. We have seen him time and time again in tournaments which he chokes really hard and make 1200 Elo plays.
Remember the CLGNA vs CLGEU game which he didn't know which of Maokai's ability could stop Shen ult? How about his point-blank Taunt miss against imqtpie in the MLG Wildcard? What about caughtshotGG which he would repeatedly get caught in every single game he plays?
He is obviously far better than me as a player so I might be a bit too harsh on him. But then again, he is the one playing professionally - and sometimes the kind of plays he makes are downright embarrassing.

Is Cruzer's top not updated? His guide was good when I looked at it a couple months back.

Yeah, I keep saying it but he's honestly probably the best Jungler in NA. Though it's hard to see how well he'd do in a competitive play because he's obviously great at making the best of his team's mistakes in solo queue but I don't know how that would translate to a 5s game.
Like seriously, it's rare when he doesn't have more farm than his mid. I kept this image from when I first played a game with him when he was rank1 on his main. It's a bit old but yeah. (he's the Hecarim smurfing) + Show Spoiler +

It's his attitude on his stream, and the fact that (as I said before) even hotshot is better. There's a real lack of talented toplaners in NA, true, but Wings just isn't up there by my definition, I'd rather watch rekkles play on 1080p that looks like 240p on my phone, than watch wings throw games left right and center. (Add to that his attiude, and just ugh) There is also a snowball mentality. People tend to watch the stream with the most users, which is why I understand most people watching Wing. Froggen is already a legend and his lee sin mid just gave more fuel to his legacy, so I think he is appart. He is also the only none American streamer that get so many viewers.

Ocelote and the TPA guys get plenty of viewers.

Nunu top destroys Teemo. How could I forget that? Nunu top also solo baron nashor before 20 minutes off of chalice, revolver and a shroud for CDR (and a blue buff). I wonder if I could try that in a game, ask my team to ward and push mid or bot, so I can pink nash and solo it for them.
|
True I forgot about TPA and Ocelot. But they are all god like team, only US players can get viewers and stay irrelevant in the international scene (don't tell me hotshot, wing, aphro, or saint are relevant, as much as I like some of them, they are not).

Can someone tell me what dunking is? I tried googling it, but all the answers were either stupid memes, a link to a video that no longer exists or everyone saying something different.

Master Yi "pro as heck" guide, and the "get dunked" phrase being spammed when someone gets killed. Extended to stuff like Pantheon's Mandrop (or just Aegis), Jarvan's Cataclysm, or to my dismay Darius' Noxian Guillotine and Jayce's To The Skies, amongst other stuff. When you "dunk" on your opponent, basically.
