These casters are pretty shit though. I mean, I havent casted myself, so I'm sure it is harder than it seems... but It can't really be so hard that you lose all critical thinking capability whatsoever... can it?

It's hard in that people will always hate you for something. If you're not animated enough, they say you don't get excited about the game. If you're too animated, they say you don't take it seriously. If you don't do enough analysis, they say you don't know enough about the game. If you fudge up names/skills every so often, they call you an idiot. If you don't go in depth enough, you piss off the hardcore/elitist crowd. If you go too in depth, people say you're going above the heads of people who are just going to be watching for the first time (ie 'new viewers') and won't retain anyone. If your play-by-play is too literal, they say your shoutcasting sucks. If you miss a kill, you're a shit cameraguy (even when solo-casting). If you call out a pro on a mistake they say you're not good enough to call them out their mistakes.
I dunno, I could come up with others, and having casted myself I probably fill up most if not all of this list, but a good caster is hard to find, and not necessarily because they aren't out there....

On the topic of LoL, I can't believe people are still playing Sona against Aphromoo's Draven, if not banning it from him outright. Every time I see him play it he goes like 3-0-X in lane and just crushes. Really fun to watch.
Edit: That's So Draven.

I don't think anyone should ever expect that of one person. The goal for organizations should be to build casting duos/trios that cover all their bases, and work well enough together as a team in doing so. Anyone expecting a solo caster to do all of that is doomed to be disappointed, but practically speaking, the business isn't in solo casting, but in duos/trios.

While I agree with you, there is a lot of unbridled hate for many casters out there. To be fair, some of them just really do suck, but I think a lot of the ones with experience these days have been doing a pretty good job; even the ones people really seem to hate.

holy god look at that draven damage

Well, the classic Cop Facecheck lost them the game, nothing else really mattered after that.

QQ. I thought playing Binding of Issac would be more relaxing than LoL. I was wrong.

For me, caster hate is one of the biggest turnoffs in any LoL or SC live report thread. Like, I understand a caster might be bad, but constant caster hate spamming in the live report thread really drags down the quality of the discussion. It is so pointless too. I mean, I can tell they are bad, we are listening to the same cast. Lets just move on.
Then sometimes you get a good caster, and it is the SAME FREAKING THING. Constant caster hate spam. I understand people have different tastes, but come on.

I don't know about other people, but I think there's maybe 1 caster in the league scene that I find bearable (or close to actually saying that I like him) I don't really bitch about it, but I want you to understand that there are people like me with very high standards who are simply not satisfied with the current roster of commentators

I think that is a fair opinion, and I won't argue that the LoL casters are pretty bad in general. I mostly just rage when the tourny threads are a massive clusterfuck of caster hate. It is unproductive and can ruin the experience for people like me who like to discuss what is happening in the game. Just start a separate thread, which is far more productive to the casters (who can read it later if they wish to improve) than messages scattered throughout a live report thread.

Oh wow. That ult by Chauster was perfect. I'm pretty sure it stopped the Shyvana ult from pushing Ez but was still close enough to knock her up. I really don't see why Lulu isn't played more often. The knock-up and health from that ult is already great, and the W to turn an enemy into a squirrel for a while is really nice later in the game too.

Man jiji whiffed that ult hard as fuck.

I've been saying for years that Lulu is best pure support (Janna close second) and Taric is best tank support (followed by Ali/Leona). You get a 2 second freeze on the enemy team ADC and essentially a free randuin's.

I know you are exaggerating for effect, but I must point it out.

You pretty much expect NESL casters to be bad and then move past it to the game.
They have 3-4 casters worse than this so it's fine.
I don't think CLG Black is ever going to form into a top team.
|
This game is very weird. CLG.Black holding out for around 16-20 min with decent play, and decent trades, then now losing concentration. That 5k gold lead in around 5 minutes.
