Disclaimer: I stole a bunch of stuff from Perplex' NA thread, most prominently the TS3 section and the formatting. Thank you Perplex for writing stuff I took without asking you.

WTF are you talking about?

This is going to be for people (on EUW) that just don't have the energy to grind soloqueue all the time, don't have friends (like me), and of course: To improve.
The main goal is to get a team of 5 together. What better way to improve in a teamgame than with a team? No better way, that's what's up
If there are enough people, inhouse 5v5's are going to be the goal.
If there are LESS than 5 people, you can still ask for a duo-queue partner.

But dud, isn't there already a thread about this?

Yes there is, but the channel is dead, so I figured if I just make a new thread, at least a billion people will suddenly show up and it's gonna be awesome.

How to join?

Joining is easy. In the bottom right of the client, click the chat button and join "LiquidPractice".
Picture:+ Show Spoiler +
[image loading]

How do I play with people after joining the chat?

Check if there are people on and available. Ask who's there and willing to play (to eliminate AFKer's) and open a game you agree on.
Simple, right? Remember to actually talk to people in the chat, or you will most likely be a sad Amumu. If everyone waits for someone else to open games for them, it will just be AFKParty all over again.

While you can probably find some stray people at ANY time of the day, I'd recommend the (general) timeslot of 19:00 CEST - 2:00 CEST if you want a team of 5+, since this is usually the busiest in the day.
That does not mean you can't try to find a team/duo-er at other times!

How to do lobbies?

LiquidPractice games are usually named "tlnet1". Type that in to the search bar and hit join. The password is 123. Please abide by the naming standard of tlnet1 // 123 when hosting lobbies. Should there be enough people to host 2 or even 3 games simultaneously, these games will be named tlnet2 and tlnet3 respectively. This system is subject to change if any problems arise.

If you want to join the lobby, ask for an invite, or press "join custom game" and look for it. Remember to enable the client to "Show private games".

Can we use voice chat during these games?

Yes! In fact you are encouraged to do so. Teamspeak has supplied TL with a 200 slot server to use for voice chat. We even have our own channel! To connect, follow these instructions.

1) Download Teamspeak 3 here: http://www.teamspeak.com/?page=downloads

2) When you reach the screen below, make you sure you choose Teamliquid as the site that informed you about teamspeak.
Picture:+ Show Spoiler +
[image loading]

3) Run the teamspeak installer and configure your microphone

4) Connect to the Teamliquid server by following these instructions: http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=173019

5) Don't forget to bookmark the Teamliquid server for future use. Once you're authenticated, just press the bookmark button and then press yes when prompted.
When you want to connect in the future, navigate to Bookmarks -> Teamliquid in the Teamspeak 3 client. (You can only bookmark once you're authenticated).

6) Lastly, once you're on the server, join the "TL Practice Lobby" channel. The password is "liquidparty". There are 4 rooms so we can run 4 games at once, and users can create their own temporary channels for their team within these channels. Thanks Neo and TheMango

I'd just like to point out that the NA version has been largely successful and popular. I really hope our EU counterparts will take this on as well.

Maybe a post in GD would help to give it some more publicity? I rarely tend to check things other than that and certain champion threads and I imagine others do the same.

Would be interested, but got quite limited time nowadays, tentative sign in. Might be nice playing without being raged at every mistake or perceived mistake (lol junglers fault, even when you win a game)

TL name: daemir
Summoner name: da3mir
elo: 1251 (1 placement match, win \o/)
Preferred role(s): mid, some junglers, support
Schedule: 1800-2300 GMT+2(3summer)

I know Martenv on LiquidParty does a lot of inhouses or just standard blind/draft normals with Liquidians, while he said yesterday that he's never been on TL (doesn't play SC, has an account with 0 posts, etc.). He went in game before he could tell me how he ended up there tho.
Maybe you could ask him for names that often participe in those customs/premade so you could ask these people if they want to be part of LiquidPractice?

Most of the people playing in liquidparty are relatively "high elo" so I guess that's not the kind of population people want in liquidpractice.

Depends. Sure, unless you for example intentionally play a champion you're utter garbage at you'll probably trash most of the people who would play in it, for example, but you'd still be able to provide insight or advice to them (appart from the obvious "farm more/better" I mean). While it's true that I haven't seen a lot of people below 1500 in LP EU, NA LiquidPractice isn't just a bunch of 12-1300 players either.

I would not mind other people's ELO. In fact, I consciously avoided narrowing it down to an ELO bracket like the old OP.
Also, I did debate with myself whether to rename the channel to LiquidLFG or something in that direction, for more acurracy, but I just stuck with the original name.

On LP: I personally think that people with "high elo" just don't want to deal with "low elo" scrubs.
At least, that is the excuse I found for them when nobody EVER wanted to play in LP. Sure, 80% are afk, but there are always people idle/chatting.
So imo the situation is the other way around.

This Martenv sure sounds like a champ, finding people to play and stuff. I should probably ask him for his secrets.

I'm not sure what your account is or who you are and I'm always in liquidparty so how would I have ever played with you? Basically anyone who has been in liquidparty and has shown a presence there eventually gets into games. Once people know you're not just another random afk dude you'll get invited to stuff.

People like Teut or Buttersworth played with me in drafts and customs even when I hadn't climbed back to >1250 yet, so I don't think you can call that argument. There aren't a lot of truly "low Elo" players in those games, but it's definitely because there aren't many participating rather than the higher Elo dudes not wanting to deal with them.

I'm just saying I never found anyone. And i tired on/off for like two weeks.
