Maybe the PD? The Trinity Force? Boots, even, given that you have trinity + PD for base movespeed and Valkyrie to re-position quickly.

He should just have gotten a Warmogs or Mallet. His GA had been popped in the fight just previous so it wouldn't be up in time for the next fight. Banshees lets him block a stray Blitz hook if he derps and provides a hp buffer against things like Irelia burst. While not amazing, it's still an improvement over only-GA-stats with no revival. Banshees is also superier to Mallet because the MRes > slow you don't need because you have Red Buff anyway. He also didn't have enough for a Warmogs. As such, I have to agree with his item choice. I would have done the same.

CLG started 1-0 cos came from upper bracket, so only g2 now.

Noc ult, pop veil, still have noc jump onto you. ??? Useless. Mallet better.

(cause it says score is 2-0 and 2 game coming up soon -> ?)
Bo5 finals. CLGeu is auto 1-0 because they come from the Winner Bracket. They won the first game that was played so 2-0

Hmmm.....that's a pretty good point, but that might have not suited how Genja was playing. He was going balls deep by being behind CLG.eu in every fight trying to pick off froggen/yellowpete. But I guess that just might be the fault of Genja than it is the potential faults for selling boots (yeah, wtf why was he there? lol)

Banshees provides a buffer against that, and by the way diamonds Noc ults were going I don't think he was too worried about it

Trinity Force is a burst item, lategame TF burst means nothing to Corki. So if he wanted to keep his boots, definitely TF.

The raw HP on Mallet would be stronger than anything Banshees can offer at that point. It's not like Kog ever had to move into a position where he was in danger of getting hooked. The slow... only really useful for preventing people from running away before they die. But that still would have been a good thing to have. Kog was mostly threatened by Noc, Irelia (and a randomly split off Corki). Not much MR can help with there.

Maybe the PD? The Trinity Force? Sell Trinity force. PD gives a better damage output later on. Same thing with Twisted Fate. Man, I often don't even realize he just ulted because you don't get that marker on top of you head. Sure, the bubble disappears... but it's not the most obvious thing ever if the TF is miles away.

Even then, if you're trying to poke inhib having Banshee is nice especially since he was standing at the front several times to do that. I dunno how Mallet helps that much since Noc is going to jump you anyway and you should have your team ready to peel for you and you have Red Buff for slows imo. Iunno.

Yeah I am very curious how this will turn out :O Did he pick it in part to counter AP kog? As in, was aniviaa picked after that? Malphite's just a generally smart pick against any Kog IMO. Malphite and Noct are pretty much the only guys who can cleanly initiate on Kog Maw.

what are they waiting for? seems so long

I don't think Pepper's hooks were that organized, if an opportunity presented itself he was just gonna go for it. In time it takes to call the nocturne ult (considering the delay of the voice communication and reaction time of Diamondprox) the opportunity will have already passed or the ult would have been mistimed.
|
Ban Anivia. Dont ban Kog.. real smart...
|
Looks like another protect the Kog and Froggen team comp.
|
teams really need to start putting kog as a permaban, hes outrageous as AP at the moment, and hes very very strong as AD. y u no ban?
|
Meh I would say m5 hvae a really good team against kog with tf jax and nocturne.
|
CLG should really try something besides a boring poke comp.
makes for such uninteresting games
|
ap kog what a surprise ....
|
I personally don't care, and I don't find poke comps to be that boring. There are no fights sure, but I was never that impressed with fights either because sometimes they were hard to watch. I think little plays in the early game, mostly to do with the jungler, are the most entertaining parts of the game anyway.
