I will most likely play the top lane on the smurf (or jungle, if feasible). The whole reason is that I am very used to play ranged champions (even since the DOTA days). Nowadays I feel that I don't really know how to play a melee champion at all.

So I've played about 30 ranked games so far, and haven't been the captain in any of the games. Is that weird, or is it based on elo or something?

Soniv on Viktor and Gizmo on Darius. Hue.
Also I am extremely disappointed whenever casters refuse to use the hotkeys for Spectator Mode and fumble around with trying to click around and failing. =.=;

They're giving away RP for downtime? Where?

Aphro and Nhat both got ddos'ed during the second game of their first round match. Neither were able to reconnect in a timely manner, forcing them to forfeit the third game as well(the time schedule for this tournament doesn't allow for much rescheduling leeway.) Those same connection issues then forced them to forfeit their lower bracket matches as well.

Out of those you listed I would say Riven. She has almost no bad matchups top and she can easily jangle.

if you think you will get to play top lane half or even one-quarter of the games you play in blind pick, then i have some real estate to show you if you are just looking for a champ to exclusively play, regardless of which lane, i'd go with lee or riven

Tank/CC champs like Naut, Mao, or Malph can be played in top/mid normally, jungle, or can support in some ways. Blitz probably as well, maybe Shaco.

Energizer, Easter, Trix, Roger, Bugs, Velveteen, Peter, Eminem, White?

always wanted to make an Annie account named Daddy Warbucks, but don't like Annie nearly enough to level 1-30 for that

It's weird that you've never been captain. It is based on ELO. Team cap always has highest elo. I think this is true even when the team has a duo now too.

i just had a guy on my team verbally harass a teammate and myself for 34 straight minutes in all-chat... ...with a riot employee on the other team
are people just stupid or something i really wish you could see if/when people that you report get banned and for how long...

So, I have sort of a random question to posit here (and I hope someone can/will answer): I've pretty much only been buying champions because I'm trying to catch up with their releases. With all the downtime and the delay on Jayce I'm closer than ever, with only 17 champs that I don't yet own, most of them 6300.
I haven't spent IP on anything other than championsin a VERY long time but I was wondering recently, especially since I've started actually being able to play support (and also because Leona is probs my next buy), what runes do I not have that I SHOULD have?
My current list: Marks AS ArPen AD MR MPen Seals MReg/lvl Armor HP/lvl Glyphs CDR/lvl CDR Mreg/lvl AP/lvl Mres Mres/lvl AP Quints MS AD Mpen AP AS ArPen HP
So, what else is on the list that I should probably own? I don't really play any one champion to such a degree that I feel like I need to specialize in one rune type JUST for that champ (ie mana for Ryze or spellvamp for Kennen/Rumble), but should I start? I was thinking maybe support-typr runes but what would those be?
Any advice TL?

might as well pick up gold/10 quints. they are by far the cheapest quint set, and they are pretty standard on support.
