Why do you think Yi profits more from wriggles? The 4dmg/sec for 8 sec pretty much neglects any kind of hp/5 regen. EC also has a HUGE range on it's active and it lasts 8sec with a 20sec cd. Sounds not fair to me.
I'm starting to think that EC has its place in some matchups in the top lane.

yi auto attacks alot more and for more damage than ww does, also ww has a LOT of healing so EC mitigates that a ton, so having yi with wriggles will give you more damage reduction, more damage.
pretty much the damage done + prevented from wriggles on yi will outweigh the damage done by ex culling. yi fights are over faster, and rely more on out damaging than out healing. where ww fights are pretty long and sometimes not even involving physical damage, and rely more on out healing the other ww.

WW builds tanky (armor/hp) and healing. The fight is gonna be drawn out, especially earlier on. Not to mention that activated items are more useful on short skirmishes. EC is only a 20 second CD anyway.

I doubt it. They're obviously aware of it, but it's not like you can say "it'll take us 1 day to fix these bugs." You never really know how long it'll take until you get most or all of it done.

I'm pretty sure they thought Lulu would be top and Lee Sin jungle. Swain pick doesn't make sense either way. Apparently Hotshot just thinks he's a good Swain so he tells his team to pick it.
