QWQ -> Fizz hops on spear -> QEQ -> Fizz still running the hell away. Pre-6 Ryze can't kill Fizz or really hurt him that much, post-6 a full Fizz combo does way more than a Ryze combo. I dunno, maybe its different at 2k elo, but when I get Fizz against a Ryze, i seem to crush him. If Fizz makes it to 6 safely without dieing and with a little CS he's a beast that can push the lane in a hurry and roam wherever he wants. He's a beast in jungle fights, a beast in dragon fights and a scary as shit ganker. Ryze can't hurt him enough to slow him down. Annie is different. As long as you don't go at her while her stun is up, she can't do shit to you and her animations give you plenty of time to troll-poll out of them. Playing against Malzahar is no fun. Playing against Leblanc is no fun. Morgana isn't too bad.

His ghoul spam outranges my autoattacks zzz, I couldn't run him oom without running out of life (started boots+3, armor yellows, mr blues, armor pen reds, and AD quints). I even got a kill and an assist with jungler assistance since he was pushed into my tower 24/7, but I still couldn't fight him 1v1 without eating a facefull of ghouls and him healing back anything I did to him. I built 2 dorans, vamp scepter, second boots, then worked towards IE. Would going Wriggles instead of dorans have been better? Any advice on the match-up? Edited to not double post. Graves (and most ranged AD) are actually just sick good top, because they crush any top laner without a gap closer. Yorick is a bitch and a half for everyone.

Trade hard early, WW usually needs to OOM himself to stay alive then just zone and outfarm him. Only real risk is getting ganked early which is eliminated by just asking your Support to ward for you. By the mid game you should have atleast a 20-30 CS lead and likely a level advantage. At which point the matchup becomes a free farm because You can't really hurt WW once he gets a Forzen heart or even just Glacial shroud, but WW can't really put out a kill on you either. Obviously, since you Riven free farm never bad. I've literally never lost a lane as riven to WW, the one game the WW got all of his teams blues too. You know you doing something right when the enemy top laner is getting blue over mid in Solo queue.

Nasus Ws your carry and oneshots them while WWs ulti is still going on. I think you're underestimating the power of a freefarm Nasus.

Even equal farm nasus can be kited much harder than ww and his CC is cleansable. That doesnt even take into account the ramp up time to GET to that stage. WW is a much more reliable late game character than Nasus.

First post by sob3k was a basic question, which should have gone into the Fizz thread. Fair enough, but at this point you can't really move it there, you know? Comparing late game and laning effectiveness of multiple champs is hard to limit to one champ discussion. That first post probably should have gone there, though. Bad sob3k.

Like ATM Yango, Slayer, Smash and I are all debating the relative farm of the jungle to other lanes and phases of the game, and where a jungle gets most of their farm, but its in the Udyr thread. Relevant to Udyr, but probably would be more useful in the GD thread.

Sick laning, huge combo, great 1v1 and cleanup. I'm surprised he's kind of gone by the wayside. He's generally much harder to play than other APs, without being much better than them for the effort (and arguably worse). His laning is really strong, but it depends heavily on your ability to last-hit and land skill shots. Malefic Visions is unreliable early on as a clearing tool because all too often creeps steal your CS, and much of the time you need to last-hit normally anyway because you don't want to push the lane or you want to use Malefic Visions for harass. Call of the Void is also one of the harder skillshots to land in a laning situation, but is crucial in a number of matchups. When it comes to teamfighting Malzahar has issues that are somewhat akin AP Nunu. His ability to perform his role is stymied by the potential for the enemy team to interrupt his ultimate. Against uncoordinated teams or lower Elos that's not a big issue, but the further up you go the more difficult it becomes to find that safe moment to use your ult. Null Zone is also an ability that requires coordination to use effectively in a team fight, moreso than the vast majority of AoEs in the game. This is not to say that Malzahar is bad, but that he's difficult to play effectively. The problem is that even when he's effective Malzahar isn't quite as good as his peers. So you can spend a lot of time mastering Malzahar and play a champion who's not quite as good as all the other APs, or you can play an easier AP and do better (or be Froggen and master Anivia).
