The only reason why you would ban her is when you want to play a champ that is countered by her in lane such as singed/irelia. And saying that in soloq nobody ever cares about counterpicking is bull. Most of the times ppl will agree with you or even say it themselves, because most ppl know that akali is a situational pick. A good akali player will only pick her if he sees a good lane opportunity for her to dominate and is certain that she will fit into the teamcomp. | ||

All in all, I don't think they really did much to her midlane strength, though I think putting an AD mid will be better against her now, with the less sustain to heal through poke. | ||
