I'm looking at 2 runepages, getting: 3xMovespeed Quints 9xArmor Pen Red 9xMagic Pen Red 9xArmor Yellow 9xMR Blue So one page with Armor Pen for AD chars, one page with Magic Pen for AP. (Much of this was taking ideas from official forums). Is this going to work as initial runepages to fit broad roles? Also, how many roles should I be prepared to play once I go in blind pick / ranked matches? I don't have any AD carries, but I'm okay on Tanks (Amumu/Galio/Alistar), Jungles (Udyr/WW/Amumu/Nunu) [though I haven't jungled yet due to runes], with some random others (Nasus/Rumble/Teemo/Kayle/Soraka), enough to top lane, and mid/support if I don't get banned/picked out. No AD carry though; should I just ignore AD carries for now and fill out the other roles once I get the runes? | ||

I personally much prefer movespeed quints to the often suggested flat hp for your first buy. When hitting ranked you probably should be at least a little prepaired to play AD carries even as a last resort. I personally try to avoid it whenever possible since it is by far my weakest role but occasionally its unavoidable. There are plenty of other options that work in a bot lane but sometimes picking the AD carry is the only way to stop your team giving up before its even started. | ||

When i bought my first set of runes I went for pretty much the recommended ones from the TL thread and than I got a sudden urge to play udyr......... I don't know which smart ass decided it would be a good idea to put dodge runes up for 820 IP other than just to annoy the fuck out of people. | ||
