Also, I was disgusted about how WCG was handled, as was Phreak, but Marcou insists he can "handle" it. =/ Also, Riot had plans to create a new esports team whose sole purpose was to organize tournaments, get player information, and actually try to get something respectable made out of LoL esports. I was very interested in joining that project until I got fired. As far as I know, the people that were also interested had NO clue how to do proper tournaments or even have decent contacts with players. Phreak wanted to get on board as well to help organize but he's usually pretty busy doing Community stuff. I dunno, we'll see what happens. There are other things happening there that I'm still under NDA not to discuss, and I do fear Riot retaliation if I spill beans about them on a public forum. But there are awesome things in the works and they'll hit just before DotA 2 to help keep playerbase. | ||
