His 2nd reply just sounds like a load of random bs made up as to why they aren't doing more. Seems pretty obvious with the lack of competitive features/focus than RIOT really doesn't care about the competitive scene.

okay so thanks very much for the info you guys gave me on TheOddOne and his squad, but my guess was wrong. somehow some points got shifted around and we won't be playing them this week. instead we're up against the following players:

SaintHake
JohnnN
MunkeyBOOM
Warnuts
BakaKyu
Jevvels
GeneralChicken

a quick scouting of all of their profiles shows that their highest elo is 1589 and the rest are like 1300's, so i don't forsee them being much of a challenge

the ranking gods have been good to us this week

PS has anyone seen/talked to/heard from BEAR barbsq in the past week? he didn't show to our game last monday and he hasn't posted on TL, logged into LoL (that i've seen), or logged onto our team website since monday either... we're a bit worried

So, the more I think about it, the more I think that Riot's whole spiel about making the early game less passive is a bunch of bullshit.

For one, I don't think anyone at Riot has ever clarified: Are laners too passive? Are junglers too passive? Because letting one be more aggressive makes the other more passive--making lanes more gankable naturally makes people play safer, and making lanes safer naturally makes junglers think twice about ganking them. So it can't be both, and as far as I can tell, people just argue back and forth either way without Riot saying which way it is.

Most likely it's probably just an excuse for Riot to make random changes to the game like the Dragon XP/gold changes or the ward changes that don't really do anything (while making it look like they're "improving" the game).

The most positive change to help jungle ganking was removing cs counting. Everything else is pretty debatable.
